When chatting with little ones, we often start by asking lots of questions - but too many at once can be a bit overwhelming!

For every question you ask during play, try to make four comments about what you or your child are doing.

‘I wonder what would happen if...’
‘You’re building such a big tower!’
‘I love the picture you’re drawing.’
‘The car is going fast around the track, vroom, vroom!’

This helps to create flowing conversation that displays different sentence structures and encourages children to share their thoughts and ideas with you, without the pressure.

📱🌏 Regional communities receive a digital literacy boost!

We're excited to see the Being Digital program expand across regional South Australia, helping more people build confidence online and develop essential digital skills.

Delivered through a partnership between the Libraries Board of South Australia, LibrariesSA and Telstra, Being Digital provides free, practical support to help participants make the most of technology, from email and video calls to online safety, scam awareness and AI. The program will now reach even more communities thanks to additional Adult Community Education through Skills SA, matching Telstra's generous funding for the second year. Over the past 12 months, Being Digital has already delivered more than 7,000 sessions to nearly 14,000 people across 32 regional and remote libraries.

Public libraries continue to play a vital role in connecting communities, building digital confidence and ensuring everyone can participate in an increasingly digital world.
