Emily and Keira were repping COMA on Wednesday night at the APRA AMCOS and AMC Art Music Awards in Naarm. Huge congratulations to all involved, and special mentions to our friend and 2026 Guest Curator Melanie Walters for her Luminary Award for South Australia! Payday Super is causing our industry a lot of stress. In response, COMA presents a workshop/discussion NEXT MONDAY at 5.15pm at Nexus Arts Venue. This is for anyone working in the contemporary music industry - artists, venues, promoters, engineers, and more.

We have two distinct aims for this session.

1: We want to know how this is affecting you so that we can advocate on your behalf. We’ll be asking for examples of how this change is affecting you as it starts to move through the industry, so that we can make a submission to the federal government.

2: Let’s discuss practical options to help navigate the changes. Facilitated by COMA, we will look to form smaller groups of people in similar circumstances to workshop the practical ways of navigating these changes.

COMA is fully supportive of the principle of payday super: getting superannuation funds into artists’ accounts quickly. However, the implementation of the policy is causing enormous stress to our industry.
