Nobody volunteers to organise the work Christmas party. You get volunteered.
Then it's your problem. Too fancy and half the team won't come. Pub dinner and everyone's on their phone by 8. Say the words "team building" out loud and you'll be quietly resented until April.
HandleBar sorts it. The keen ones pedal, everyone else drinks, and nobody's stuck making small talk across a long table with someone from accounts they've met twice.
