Local Revolution

The bands journey began in 2011 when Lenin Marrón took to the streets of Adelaide as a busker, later meeting Saxophonist Nick Sverdloff and other original members in a busking session. Their music drew rich rhythms from their Latin and Global roots and merged them together with the experience of professional jazz foundations. This exotic mix gave rise to their addictive original soulful sounds of today. Now after two EP's, a debut album release, several successful National Tours, major support slots and festival performances, Local Revolution are quickly becoming one of the city's highest- energy outfits, as the 6+ piece band led by Lenin Marrón are turning heads with their unique display of music and crowd engaging performances. With a succesful debut album release of 'Gentle Warrior', a packed head line show at The Gov in 2015 and landing supports slots with Maxi Priest (UK) and Justin Timberblakes World Tour support The Common Kings (US) in early 2016, LR will keep pushing as they continually hit new heights. Inspired by the legendary sounds of Santana, Fel Kuti, Bob Marley, Rage Against Machine, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix and many more, with Local Revolution it's a non-stop musical journey.
