SA Scale Model Expo update!

As well as hundreds of Scale Models on display, Scale Modelling demonstrations and browsing the Trader stalls EXPO 2026 also offers 2 other activities

Wargaming Demonstration:

For the 1st time at EXPO the staff & regular gamers at Chaotic Kraken Hobbies will be putting on demonstrations of tabletop warfare.
Three dedicated gaming tables will be running continuously throughout the weekend with both Warhammer and Bolt Action games being demonstrated.
In Warhammer players assemble armies of miniature figures representing futuristic soldiers, aliens, and supernatural creatures, then battle across tabletop battlefields
with terrain, using dice and rulebooks to resolve combat.
Bolt Action is a miniature wargame that allows players to recreate historical World War II battles using scale models, including infantry, tanks, and artillery, on tabletop battlefields
Come along and see the models featured in the FG1, FG2 and FG3 classes being used in anger.

Kids Make and Take:

We will be again running our popular make and take activity on Sunday 11th between 10am & 2pm in the main exhibition hall.
Bring your children along to take part in a hands on, fun modelling activity, where they can learn some basic skills, and afterwards take their creation home as a memento of their visit to EXPO.
Entry is free but all children must be accompanied by parents and spaces are limited & we do recommend that old clothes are worn in case of accidents.

All materials used have been donated by Blue Tongue Hobbies.

SA Scale Model Expo 26 Theme 3 of 3..!

Australiana!

Football, meat pies, kangaroos…you know how it goes. This year’s model expo features the theme “Australiana”, i.e. anything that relates to our Australian history or way of life. Think Holden cars, Boomerang aircraft, Mad Max interceptor, maybe even a shrimp on the barbie! The list goes on.

Enter a scale model that represents Australian icons and you could be eligible for some prizes. The entry will be displayed on our Australiana table and can still be judged within its respective category. There are some great kits available and expo is getting close, so “crack on” and build something special.

The SAPMA SA Scale Model Expo 2026 is now open for entries:

https://modelkitclub.com/clubs/SAPMA/events/sapma-expo-2026/enter

Your login/email from last year should work, and if you've forgotten your password, just request a reset.

You can also use your Google or Facebook account to log in, so you don't need a password (it works like Spotify, etc.).

If you have any questions about entering kits, message SAPMA's Facebook Messenger or email [email protected].

Thanks
