A throwback to one of our favourite Design & Construct projects,
The Blair Athol North School raingardens was recognised at the 2024 MLSA Awards as Most Environmentally Sensitive Project. What was once a neglected, swampy drainage area has been thoughtfully transformed into a thriving outdoor learning environment and living classroom. Through curriculum-aligned workshops, LCS worked closely with students and staff, supporting a student working group to contribute directly to the design, creating a space informed by its users.
At its heart, this project reflects what we’re committed to: creating spaces that work with nature and continue to give back long after construction is complete.

What happens at our nursery during winter? ❄️
Cooler temperatures and increased soil moisture create ideal conditions for propagating native species, establishing healthy root systems, and preparing plants for the months ahead.
Right now, our team is busy propagating and potting, ensuring plants are strong, healthy, and ready for the next season.
