20/9/26 — Wide Games Night w Attunga⛳️🏃‍♂️🙌

This week we played Capture the Flag with a twist! Two teams, multiple roles, one mission: steal the flag, eliminate the other team, or take out the leader. 😈
And to top off the night, we finished with a classic game of lasers! 📿

Big thanks to Attunga Rovers for joining us for a night of chaos, laughs, and fierce competition. Shoutout to Sam for creating this absolute gem of a game — definitely going in the vault 🔐. And of course, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALFIE! 🥳🎂

6/9/2026 - Mulled Wine Night! 🍷🍇✨

An interesting and unique experience for Bandera this week attempting to make mulled wine!

Using the cheapest red wines available, and a minimal selection of fruits and spices, two teams went head to head to make the best mulled wine. Despite some ludicrous ingredients including sour gummy worms, both teams made surprisingly drinkable results.

With an extra touch of winter spice, both teams also competed to make the best cinnamon scrolls. Despite the night ending in a tie, I think we were all excited to go home with delicious goodies. 🥯

Shoutout to Alice for sourcing the ingredients and running a new and spontaneous night!

29/08 - NONT at the Museum! 🦖🤠🏛️

This week multiple groups from Bandera participated in the 2026 N.O.N.T event! This years theme was NONT at the museum. 🏛️

Our three competing teams were: Pocket-Sized Problems, The Dumbs Dumbs are the Gum Gum & The Roman Empire.

Completing puzzles, solving maps, and panic drawing observation signs, there was definitely some bickering, questionable decisions and very long drives from Salisbury to Angaston! But through it all, everyone worked well together, putting their teamwork, problem-solving and creativity to the test!

A huge effort from all teams, and a big shoutout to Kullari for organising an amazing NONT this year! ✨

16/08 - Origami Night! 🔖🦋🌸

This week Bandera faced the challenge of making origami figures! From delicate flowers and butterflies to cranes, ninja stars and massive ninja stars… there was definitely a lot of folding, frustration and fun!

Shoutout to William for organising an amazing night that allowed us to test our patience and creative skills!

2/8/26 – St George Challenge with Aurora 🔥🥖

After a last-minute change of plans, Bandera and Aurora went head-to-head in a Sweet vs Savoury Damper Challenge!

There was chocolate, raspberry and marshmallow stuffed damper, cheesy garlic bites, mini pizzas, and even a pizza shaped like Elijah’s face 🍕😂.

Congratulations to Aurora Rover Unit for taking the win! 🏆 Thanks to everyone who came along for an awesome night of food, laughs, and keeping warm around the campfire.
