Following his high energy and expert presentation at the STRA Summit 2026, Peter returns to bring his research, evidence based insights and international tourism expertise back to our STRA Summit 2027 stage.

Professor O’Connor is one of Australia’s leading tourism researchers, using evidence based insights to challenge assumptions about short-term rental accommodation (STRA) and examine the real world impacts of regulation.

At a time when STRA policy and regulation continue to evolve across Australia, Peter brings an important research led perspective to the conversation, looking beyond assumptions and rhetoric to what the evidence actually tells us.
