If you get regular massages, you probably know what you like by now.

Sometimes you want those tight spots properly worked on.

That’s how I like to work at Moon Rabbit — working where your body needs it, while keeping the treatment relaxing enough for you to actually switch off.

You get a massage, it feels so much better…

…and then somehow, a few days later,
you can feel that same little “knot” again. 😅

It got me thinking about what we actually mean when we say we have a knot.

Sometimes I wonder if that tight spot is simply your body trying to help.

If a muscle isn’t quite strong enough for what you’re asking it to do, or another area isn’t contributing enough, your body may find a way to create more stability — often by asking certain muscles to work harder and stay switched on.

Over time, that can leave an area feeling tight, firm or restricted.

So when I’m working on a “knot”, I’m not always thinking about how to make it disappear.

I’m more curious about 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞.

Massage can help relax things and give your body a little reset.

But sometimes the next step is helping your body become stronger, move better, or share the workload a little differently.

Because maybe the goal isn’t to keep getting rid of the same knot…
