Every now and then a donor reaches out with exactly the right reasons — and PRET Australia is one of those.🫱
PRET Australia recently donated a collection of computers that had been in active use in their training rooms — replaced not because they'd stopped working, but because smaller, lighter
devices better suited the flexibility their classrooms needed.
When asked why they chose to donate to C4L, Kim from PRET's Training and Development team told us they appreciated C4L's clear information about how donations are handled and the
fact that components from non-working computers are reused or recycled.
Additionally, the fact that we provide a data wiping report is very important as they need to ensure their company
data is handled securely.🔒
But what really warmed our hearts was that PRET Australia also recognised the journey these devices are now on.
From their classroom to yours.
From their students to someone else's.🫶
That continuity of purpose is everything.
Thank you, PRET Australia. You made IT matter.

You all know that "Bridging the Digital Divide" is the C4L slogan right?
Well the divide this week was almost the widest one we have ever encountered.
We got a request....
From Italy!🇮🇹
We were gobsmacked!!
We know that word about C4L is spreading with more and more requests coming from NSW and regional Queensland. But to make an impression all the way over to Italy - that is truly something.
Regretfully supplying Italy is beyond us.
Helping Queenslanders has always been and will continue to be our main focus.🤝
Please help us to Bridge the Digital Divide at home.
Gift us your redundant computers and make another Queenslander's day. 🌞
Christmas came early — courtesy of The Sisters of Mercy All Hallows’ School. Again. 🎄💚
Today, the wonderful community at The Sisters of Mercy All Hallows’ School dropped off a fantastic donation of laptops to Computers 4 Learning. If you’ve been following our journey, you’d know this isn't the first time they've shown up for us.
The Sisters of Mercy All Hallows’ School has become one of those supporters we are genuinely, deeply grateful for. Their ongoing generosity reflects exactly the kind of community values we'd hope to see from any institution — and the fact that they keep coming back tells us something special about the culture they've built.
To the leadership, staff, and student community at The Sisters of Mercy All Hallows’ School: thank you for your continued generosity and for understanding the difference a device can make in someone's life. We are proud to have you as a long-standing partner. 🙏
If your institution would like to make IT matter, we'd like to hear from you! Message us or leave a comment below 👇

It started with one person choosing to do her uni placement with us. Now it's becoming something bigger💪
Earlier this year a member of our own C4L family chose C4L for her placement as part of her community engagement studies. It was a personal decision, but it had a ripple effect we didn't expect. 🌊
Australian Catholic University (ACU) took notice and this semester they have actively promoted C4L undertaking the mandatory HLSC301 Community Engagement unit of study.
The result?
Three Health Sciences students reached out to undertake the placement with C4L this semester.
What we do every week at our Banyo workshop - keeping technology alive, bridging the digital divide, making sure a laptop isn't a luxury only some families can afford - sits right at the heart of what HLSC301 asks students to engage with.
We're grateful to ACU for the recognition, and genuinely excited to welcome these students into our team.
Are you a University student looking for a placement that puts you at the centre of a real social challenge? 🫵
