Thank you Sages Cottage Farm for the opportunity to install “Dreamland” as part of your collection, working towards establishing a new sculpture park on the Mornington Peninsula. Twenty-seven sections made in porcelain to form a life size children’s mattress set on a Victorian castle iron frame.

Opening this Saturday in Jersey City at three locations is the Sculptors Guild “5.7” exhibition. This is a fabulous show worth taking a look and you will find three of my works at two of the locations.

With the mural now completed, it’s a good time to reflect on the entire process and logistics from start to finish. With no doubt for me working with all the students was an absolute joy. Their work was divided into many small sections from in the classroom to a large space at the public works depot. Close to three tons or porcelain clay, over fifty kiln firings and five months to assemble the work, it all finally came together in the seven week installation. Thank you again the mayor and staff of the Borough of Allendale, all the principles, teachers and students from the three schools in Allendale for organizing your schedules so we could bring this extraordinary project together.

The last five weeks has been the final installation of all the porcelain panels and mural painting for the Allendale Mural Project. Still a little more detailing with additional wall tiles but very close to completion.

The final stage of this wonderful commission, now crated and arriving in Qatar this week. Thank you for being able to work at Tre Luci studio, many wonderful friendships were made.

Following up from my last post; the detailing is completed, well as long as I don’t keep looking at it.

The time spent on the finishing details of a marble sculpture can take just as long as it did to remove and shape the work. Then all of a sudden it’s there but not before asking a little bit more here and there.
In the last stages of this small sculpture unless it tells me otherwise.

Happening in Pietrasanta today my new block of marble being cut for a commission which I'll start in September. This is always an exciting moment, anticipation, the pending birth of a new work soon to start.
