Nothing like a good scratch.
This gorgeous eastern grey kangaroo joey is currently in care with one of our awesome WRIN shelter operators.
Looks like he is settling in well ❤️
Little Jimmy the Brush-tail Possum is learning to venture away from his carer. Jimmy was brought into care by a Wildlife Rescue Information Network WRIN volunteer at 157gms after being caught by a dog. Luckily only a small skin tear on his back. He is doing well and has been upgraded to the outside aviary. More room to run and climb, but cold. I do feel bad, but has to be done.

The decision by Benalla Golf Club to cull the reside kangaroos that call the area home is incredibly disappointing.
Wildlife Rescue and Information Network WRIN do not support culling or relocating of wildlife as a solution to any issue relating to wildlife living in residential or recreational areas.
Instead we prefer to work together and find ways to allow wildlife and humans coexist and share spaces.
If you are free tomorrow please go along to show your support for this mob of kangaroos.
Hopefully Benalla Golf Club will reconsider their decision and a kinder solution can be found.

Wildlife Rescue Information Network WRIN volunteers were pleased to have the opportunity to chat with CoGB councillors recently .
It was great to have the opportunity to highlight the issues and challenges facing our local wildlife and the need to actively consider their welfare in the future regarding new developments and sharing of public spaces.
