Threaded Acres
Each piece is lovingly upcycled and handmade by a local country mum who believes clothing should be unique, meaningful, and gentle on the planet.
Blending rustic charm with modern flair, every garment tells its own story — no two are the same.
Slowly but surely… 🪡💗
This one has taken me a little longer than usual this week, but we’re getting there.
School holidays, crazy work days, appointments and monster migraines have definitely limited my sewing time this week.
But look at that collar. 👀
Crisp. Sharp. Satisfying.
Honestly, it’s so easy to fall in love with the little details. ✨💗
Shorts weather! ☀️
A tiny glimpse of some of my favourited. 🥰
Made from preloved fabrics, each pair is a little bit different — and I’m loving seeing all these fun fabrics turned into something useful again. 💛
Re-discovering remnants you’ve stashed away for safe keeping is feeding my soul right now — especially when you pull one out and just know there’s a little cowgirl out there who absolutely needs a bit more sparkle in her outfit. ✨
This little number is currently sitting unfinished on the sewing table, but I’m so in love with these colours that I had to share.
My back and my mind have both voted for a night off tonight, so she’ll be back in the sewing room tomorrow to be finished. 🪡

Becoming at one with the floor today 😂✂️
Apparently my back has decided that cutting fabric standing up is overrated… so the floor it is! 😂
A productive little day of getting things prepped behind the scenes:
✂️ 2 more pattern sizes prepared
👕 4 shirts cut and ready to sew
🩳 2 pairs of shorts cut and ready to sew
🧺 Metres and metres of fabric prewashed, dried and ironed
All squeezed in between swimming, family time, a little pattern pick-up for myself, family BBQ prep and a Bunnings run to finish off our market stall.
Some days dont actually feel incredibly productive until you see it all written down 😅

The sewing room is finally getting a little more user-friendly! 🙌
After a much-needed clean-up and reorganise, I wanted something that would let me see sizes at a glance, rather than having to dig through garments and check labels every time I was looking for a particular size.
But I couldn’t do something mainstream… 😂
So I came up with my own little system — wooden, colour-coded beads for each size.
Now I can tell what size is hanging where with a quick glance, making things much easier to find and keep organised.
And the best part? They’ll work perfectly for market days too, making it easy to spot sizes when everything is hanging on the racks.
And honestly… how cute did they turn out!? 🥹

It’s not the sewing of each garment that takes me the longest… 😂
It’s the deciding.
Which pattern? Which fabric? What should I use for the pocket, cuffs and yoke? Will these two actually look fabulous together once they’re made? 🤔😂
And if you’ve seen my fabric piles, you’ll know the choices are endless!
Another run of shirts starting their journey… 🌿🧵

And here she is… 🌸
You may have seen the little flutter sleeves I was working on a few days ago — I couldn’t wait to see them come together with this pretty floral. 💙
She’s turned into the prettiest little summer dress, and I think those flutter sleeves might just be my favourite part.
Just the hem to finish and she’ll be ready for a little adventurer. ✨

Threaded Acres is officially heading out into the wild! 🌿
I’m so excited to share that I’ll be setting up my first ever market stall at one of my favourite markets — and I might be a little biased, because it’s right here in our little home town. 🤎
Woodvale Bush Market
Saturday 17th October | 8am–1pm
Woodvale Public Hall
Schedule the date in, come say hi, have a look at our handmade pieces and support our very own Woodvale Fire Brigade and Community Hall. 🤎🌿

The teeniest little flutter sleeves you ever did see? 🤍
You may have seen this fabric before… 👀 I stashed it away in a very safe place to make more cute Summer Breeze dresses — and then promptly forgot about it. 😂
Rediscovered! 🙌 So naturally, another little Summer Breeze is happening.

We finally have a winner for the buttons I was losing sleep over! 😂
After sorting through hundreds of different buttons, I finally settled on these — and I’m so happy with the outcome.
Such a small detail, but it’s a detail that makes all the difference.
Now that I’ve finally got that sorted, I can get stuck into another run of these little kids’ country workshirts.
What contrast colours and patterns should I be making next?
Please excuse the straight-from-the-sewing-table version — she’s still got her fair share of guide lines on her! 😂
