Ready Set Grow Bluff Point OSHC

To our valued Families,

We wish to advise that a decision has been made to close our Ready Set Grow Child Care Centres (Bluff Point, Bluff Point OSHC and Dongara) on Friday 27th March 2026 due to Cyclone Narelle and potential safety concerns.

This decision has been made in the best interests of children and staff accordingly and we trust that families understand this decision. The Health and Safety of children and staff is always our number 1 consideration.

We will provide updated information over the weekend in relation to when services will reopen which we hope to be Monday 30/03/2026 - provided the services are safe to do so and have access to utilities eg power, water ect.

We ask that you read regular updates as they are provided.

Please note that families will not be charged for the service closure on 27/03/2026.

Today we had some messy fun at oshc. We played in the mud, explored gelli baff, and slime. We talked a lot about what the different things felt like on our hands and feet

Yesterday our children started their first day back after Christmas with one of their favourite things - Lego. They offered a few different suggestions for themes and we drew one at random. Our theme for the challenge was ‘Nature’ and their task was to create their best nature inspired Lego creation. Well done to everyone who participated and especially to our top three designs

After bushfires threatened homes and schools in our local community, our children talked through their experiences as they painted their own firey scene. A HUGE thank you to all the emergency services personnel who worked tirelessly to keep homes and lives safe.

OSHC will be open tomorrow for our Waggrakine families who need care for their children due to school closure and bushfires. No bus shuttle service will be available for affected areas.

Today we had a lot of fun taking apart an old printer and exploring what it looked like inside. We enjoyed finding parts of the internal computer and a motor component. We also enjoyed forcing apart the pieces we couldn’t get apart by undoing screws

I have met lots of exceptional male early childhood educators who are fabulous and a couple have been a part of my grandkids' early years.
