Bracken Ridge Girl Guides

Come and try Girls Guides. It's great fun and we meet 6-8pm every Wednesday.
This is just some of the fun activities we have been enjoying. Puzzle nights, messy nights, campfire cooking ANZAC day and a Hi tea for Mother's day.

💙 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY from Bracken Ridge Girl Guides! 💙

Today we’re celebrating ALL the dads — biological dads, stepdads, foster dads, granddads, stand-in dads, bonus dads, honorary dads… and those wonderful blokes who somehow manage to survive life with a Girl Guide! 😂

A special shout-out to the dads of our Guides! 👏

Thank you for being the taxi service 🚗, the snack provider 🍫, the chief knot untangler 🪢, the camping equipment carrier ⛺, the “Mum said I could!” investigator 🤨 and the person who gets asked to fix absolutely everything!

And a HUGE thank you to the dads who volunteer their time with us — helping at events, fundraising, working bees, activities and all those jobs that magically appear when you’re part of the Guide family. 💙

To all the dads who support their girls, encourage them to try new things, cheer them on, listen to their adventures and occasionally wonder *“How on earth did we end up with this much glitter?”*… we couldn’t do it without you! 😂

So today, put your feet up, enjoy a well-earned cuppa (or something stronger 😉) and take a bow.

The Bracken Ridge Girl Guides Annual Book Bazaar is back, and we need your help to make it our biggest and best one yet!

We're currently collecting good quality pre-loved books to refresh our collection. If you have books you'd love to see enjoyed by someone new, we'd be so grateful for your donation.

✅ Young Adult
✅ Biographies
✅ Non-fiction..and so much more!

🚫 Please note: We are not accepting magazines or cookbooks this year, as we're already well stocked.

Get ready, bookworms! 📚 It's that wonderful time of the year again when the Bracken Ridge Girl Guides are bringing back the magic of the Annual Book Bazaar! 🌟📖 Our hut will be filled with an incredible collection of books waiting for new homes.

We are looking to refresh our collection so if anyone has any books that they would kindly like to donate to this, please get in touch.
Unfortunately we aren't accepting magazines or cookbooks this year (we have so many already!). Any donations can be dropped down on a Wednesday evening from 6pm - 8pm or by arrangement at other times (dependent on leaders availability).

So come on down Saturday, August 22nd, because from 9 AM to 1 PM, we're turning McPherson Park on Tomah Road into a paradise for book lovers. 🌳📚 Whether you're into mysteries, romance, fantasy, or non-fiction, we've got something that will tickle your literary taste buds. 📚✨

We also will be open Sunday, 23rd 9am to 2pm while the park host the Back Yard Bonaza with food trucks, stalls, free ridges and much more.

Today we celebrate all the incredible women in the world 💐

You don’t have to give birth to a child to be a mother.
Mothers come in many forms — step mums, foster mums, adoptive mums, aunties, grandmothers, carers, mentors and the women who simply nurture and care for others every single day ❤️

Today we also send extra special love to the mums carrying the heartbreak of losing a child. Thinking of you today and always 🕊️

We are so lucky to have so many amazing mums within our Bracken Ridge Girl Guides family and today we celebrate each and every one of you 🌸
