🏁 A LITTLE UPDATE FROM MCEWEN RACING 🏁

A fortnight ago we headed up to Gympie Speedway for a practice day, and honestly, the car performed really well. We found a couple of issues while we were there that we believe we’ve now sorted, so we’re 110% ready to go for the first meeting of the season on 10th October at Maryborough Speedway. 🔥

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, chasing a few gremlins and getting everything ready, and now the time has come to go racing.

I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and seeing what we can do this season.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, this will be my last season racing stock cars.

There’s been a lot of years, a lot of work, plenty of ups and downs, some bloody good memories and, most importantly, some great people we’ve met along the way.

But this isn’t retirement. ❤️

We’ve got a few personal goals we want to chase before we get back into racing, so we’re going to take a break and see where the next chapter takes us.

The car is also FOR SALE. It’s no secret — there’s a lot of good gear in this car, and we’d love to see it go to someone who can enjoy it and put it to good use.

We’ll run it through the season and hopefully find it a new home. If it doesn’t sell, the plan will be to strip it and sell the parts separately, as we need the money to help fund the next step in what we want to do.

But for now, none of that matters.

We’ve got one more season. One more crack at it. One more year of loading the car up, heading to the track and doing what we love. 🏁

So let’s enjoy the hell out of it.

Today the McEwen Racing team is heading to Gympie Speedway for practise to test and tune their cars for the upcoming 2026/27 season . It's been awhile since James has been to a practise meeting and the first time for Tyson . The boys are looking forward to having a shake down.

Shout out to Gary Perrin for coming over and working on the tanker today definitely crossed off a good majority of the list. Much appreciated
Also thanks to Shaun Martini for a quick mill job to modify the sump to get the new trap door system in hoping this fixes the oil starvation we are having.
Engine and new Raptor box will go in during the week and running by end of next weekend ready to head to practice at gympie(?) on the 5th
