NEW ARRIVALS | Fresh in to the Sydney showroom yesterday, a stunning array of Afghani Taimany rugs, masterfully hand knotted by all female weaving teams scattered throughout rural and urban Afghanistan. This weaving work provides income otherwise cut off from females due to the current political climate in the country. These colourful, authentic rugs are absolutely one-of-kinds and are impossible to replicate. If you are in Sydney, pop in to the showroom to see the range or get in touch with any of our showrooms to find out more. This will be added to our website in the coming week - unless already off to their forever homes!

SUN DRYING
Drying our rugs outdoors in the sunlight helps the natural fibres settle and gives them a softer lustre than machine dried rugs get. The latter technique mainly just removes moisture quickly. Another added value of sun drying is that it deepens the character of traditional dyes to help enhance the final tones and overall feeling of the rug. Working in synchronicity with nature, using time honored traditional methods still brings the finest results!
