Backed by government funding, community support, and profit-for-purpose activities, we invest in patient care, capability, and resilience. LifeFlight works tirelessly to serve communities in their Greatest moments of need. We’re the largest, most advanced aeromedical service in the southern hemisphere, bringing critical care closer to home. Each year we perform hundreds of missions in Queensland; hundreds more across Australia and overseas. Our Community Guidelines:

Be respectful: We do not allow abusive, discriminatory, defamatory or threatening comments. This includes hate speech, harassment, and personal attacks based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality or any other personal attribute. No nuisance behaviour or spam: Excessive, repetitive or off-topic posting, including “nuisance” behaviour will be removed. Spam, promotions, conspiracy theories, misinformation, and trolling may result in an instant ban. Protect your privacy (and others): Don’t post personal or sensitive information, yours or anyone else’s. No fake profiles or staff abuse: Posts from fake or anonymous profiles may be deleted. Abuse directed at LifeFlight staff or moderators will not be tolerated. English only: To help us moderate effectively, we may remove comments in other languages. We welcome different views and experiences, but if you don’t follow these guidelines, your comments may be removed and, in some cases, you may be banned from the page. Clive Berghofer, meet Clive Bear-ghofer 🐻🤝
Today our long-time supporter and philanthropist, Clive Berghofer, officially unveiled the first painted bear sculpture for LifeFlight’s A Beary Big Trail!
This bear has been specially named Clive Bear-ghofer, and has been gifted to Clive in honour and recognition of his long-time support and extraordinary contribution to LifeFlight and the Darling Downs community.
The one-of-a-kind bear will have a permanent home in LifeFlight's new Toowoomba Visitor Experience and Education Centre, and is the first of 20 bears set to feature in A Beary Big Trail across Toowoomba next year – stay tuned for more updates!

Shining a laser at a helicopter isn't a joke. It's a crime.
In the past six weeks, three LifeFlight helicopters carrying out lifesaving missions have been targeted by laser strikes, putting patients, crews and people on the ground at risk.
When our helicopters are responding to emergencies, every second matters. The last thing our crews need is a dangerous distraction that puts the patient and everyone on board at risk.
If you see someone directing a laser at an aircraft, report it to Queensland Police Service.
Help us spread the word: lasers and helicopters don't mix.
Yesterday our Mount Isa-based crew airlifted a man in his 50s to hospital in a stable condition after a motorcycle incident north west of Mount Isa.
The QAS flight paramedic and Royal Flying Doctor Service - Queensland Section doctor treated the patient for chest injuries.
