Jetty Toastmasters We are a Toastmasters club located in Busselton, Western Australia., focusing on helping members build their competence in communication and effectively lead others. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday, at 6:45 pm for a 7pm start.

Thank you all for participating in Jetty Toastmaster's 20th Anniversary. It was great to see many experienced members from the district present their speeches on the benefits, stories and journeys of Toastmasters success. Some joined to prepare for wedding speeches, excel their corporate or political careers and others to build confidence and mentor others. Truly an inspiring night and we welcome anyone to join as a guest on our regular Monday meetings.

Tonight's agenda will feature the table topics. Taking on this role improves confidence and impromptu speaking skills.

Members will develop their ability to organize their thoughts quickly and respond to an impromptu question or topic.

Toastmasters International -Spontaneous Speaking For many Toastmasters, nothing strikes fear into the heart quite like the Table Topics® part of a meeting. You know it’s important to learn spontaneous speaking, but it’s intimidating, and there’s no way to prepare. Or is there?

Yee-Haw, what a Hootin' darn good time! Our toast master for the night mixed things up and embodied the Texas American 🤠🐓🌶.

Once a member, you will have the opportunity to learn many roles, the toast master is essentially the master of ceremonies (MC) and they will welcome y'all (apologies, that American accent is catchy), introduce the next speaker and thank the previous speaker.

Feel free to come as a guest at our next meeting on the 20th of April.

Bravo to our President who recently won a speaking contest in Kalgoorlie!

Our next meeting is on Monday the 16th, looking forward to listening to you all then.

Welcome to our new guests and Area Directors.

Monday night we dove into an improvised “road‑trip” saga that took a wild turn: our drivers encountered human‑level intelligent kangaroos. Every member jumped in on the spot, assuming characters and stretching their speaking muscles in real time.

The result? A night where spontaneity sharpened our public‑speaking skills, collaboration surged, and the story grew richer with each voice.

Let’s carry that energy forward Onward to a powerful 2026!

Tonight was a humorous speech contest with 3 contestants and a host of judges. Analysing the speech structure, audience response, delivery and word choice.

What might seem a daunting task, is knowing that all members are encouraged and help one another feel confident and comfortable in a safe space.
