TGR Racing

Last time this hill had me upside down, collecting panel damage and performing a very expensive pirouette in the winch truck.

Fair to say I was bloody happy to strap on my Simpson Hybrid Sport head and neck restraint for another crack. 🐢😂

Here’s why that gear matters.

In a crash, your harness slows your body down, but your head wants to keep moving.

A head and neck restraint helps limit that movement and transfers some of the load through the restraint and harness, helping reduce the forces your neck has to take.

It works alongside your helmet, harness and seat as part of your protection. The Hybrid’s low-profile design also allows movement while driving, with protection designed for impacts, flips and rolls. Because sometimes one hit isn’t where the ride ends.

No gear makes racing risk-free, but correctly fitted, compatible and well-maintained gear matters when things go pear-shaped. Check it, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and make sure it meets your event’s requirements.

I’ll happily take the p**s out of becoming a turtle. Protecting the bloke inside the shell is something I take seriously. 🤘🏁

Save this as your reminder to check your race gear before the next event.

The cats out of the bag a new truck is coming to TGR and yep the MRS won the bet so she is painting it!!!

FYI you have no chance of going faster doing a full roll over onto your roof! But you can self recover and finish in a good time 👍
