The Flying Scotsman is back this weekend with all of his old jokes and hopefully some new ones. We are expecting great weather. To grab our only remaining dual slot tomorrow, at 9.30am with Instructor Alistair, text 0410496438 before 7pm tonight. (He can even throw in some home loan refinancing advice for free if you need it!)

Danny studied hard and passed all his theory exams and is into the repetitive circuit training now. His days consist of having breakfast, checking the weather, and walking from his motel to our office to fly around in circles for two hours, then walk back to his hotel, often via Hungry Jacks. The BBQ cheeseburgers are only $3.25. A man has to have some joy in his life.

Abigail has worked hard and made fast progress through her exams, RPC, command time, passenger endorsement and her cross country training. Today she undertook her 2 hour nav flight test with CFI Damien. She checked the weather and planned a route for one aerodrome then, while in flight, her instructor had her make adjustments to the route and divert to another aerodrome. How convenient for that instructor - who likes to drink a lot of water - that Kingaroy just happens to have public toilets...

A big congratulations to our Operations Manager, Senior Instructor Tom Murray, who was announced as the ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ in the Caloundra Community Awards, hosted by Kendall Hatcher MP at QLD Air Museum this evening.

Tom turns 21 next Tuesday. We’ve given him a few days off to celebrate. Let’s see if we can get 210 likes on this post for him!

Australia’s newest RAAus instructor has landed!

Ethan did his CPL training at Wellcamp then did converting pilot training with CFI Cameron in Chinchilla. He excelled at his board briefings and inflight lessons with Snr Instructor Tom and CFI Damien. He will be employed to teach at Kangawallafox Flight School.

Congratulations Ethan on passing your flight test this morning - and also having the neatest log book we’ve seen in a long time!
