I’m Robin Bird, a Canadian living in Australia, and I've taught in 10 different countries. Sewing has always been my ‘oasis of calm.’

As a curvy woman, I’ve always struggled with getting ready-to-wear clothes to fit properly. But by learning smart sewing techniques, all that changed for me. My goal is to help all sewists, whether you're curvy or petite, learn to make beautiful clothing that fits just right. This Facebook is a place where I can share the videos I make on my YouTube channel @shearfunsewing, which includes tips on sewing tools, techniques, resources, sewing patterns, fitting and refashioning. Even if you're a beginner, sewing doesn't have to be complicated, and most of all, it should be fun.
