On the work side, we run our family business, help clients navigate their building journey & save money without losing design style, and build amazing new homes🏠

At home, we parent three kids across primary school, high school, & college, are massively involved in our basketball community, and we’re building our own dream home😳

Jumping out of bed to drive by our O’Connor knockdown rebuild every day is the best feeling, we’re really having so much fun. Most days there’s an update on site, from a new delivery to a new frame going up… we’re there for it all. Every detail is bringing the vision home🙌🏼

There are definitely challenges of such a complex build, particularly figuring out structural & practical solutions to improve functionality & identify cost savings, which is super satisfying.

The girls have wrapped up an amazing ACT representative basketball season, with Dennis Assisting Coaching the U19 girls team & getting heavily involved in our basketball community. At its peak we were balancing 11 basketball teams across our family - which is no joke. Yes, we love basketball🏀

We’re making time for catching up with family & friends, planning ahead for when we move into our new home, settling into semester 2 of another hectic school year, and importantly - living for nourishing warm meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner to sustain us all, because we’re all foodies and that’s all there is to it❤️

Big update from Aldona on site at our O’Connor knock down rebuild! Our amazing carpentry crew have powered through & completed all ground floor & first floor framing, & upstairs floor joists from Universal Trusses🙌🏼💪🏼🔨

All thermal broken, double glazed, semi-commercial, aluminium framed windows & frames by Trend Windows & Doors are installed downstairs. 4 sets of sliding doors overlooking the pool area, front timber door & glass rear door are scheduled to be installed soon. Jaw droping upstairs windows & sliding doors are on-site ready for install with more structural steel reinforcement enroute…we can hardly wait!

Our front curved wall is coming together beautifully, & the terrace layout above is really becoming visible now. The views from upstairs are quite simply beyond…stay tuned❤️

Austral bricks made in Spain have arrived on site packaged with precision, ready for our brickies this week👌🏼

We’ve specifically chosen Pro Clima Australia SOLITEX EXTISANA wrap supplied by LAROS Technologies & we’re super excited to share more specific info on this incredible high performance building product soon!

A little sprinkle of rain hasn’t stopped our dynamo carpenters on-site, very pleased to report we’re still running on schedule😉🏠

A complex architectural design by is a complex build. This one is extra special because it’s ours.

Lucky for us, Dennis is up to the challenge, and is on-site project managing and finding solutions in real time. His 30 years of experience and wealth of knowledge in the building industry is obvious from a mile - he’s doing what he does best.

Experience is everything. Our chief carpenter Rhys has been with us since the beginning. That’s 15 years working with - Dennis & Rhys, learning & understanding each other’s rhythms, capabilities, and developing this innate ability to get excited about the challenges of problem solving as a team, and have fun on site with their craft.

The past few weeks have turned out crisp autumn mornings & sunny Canberra days, structural steel galore, timber floor joists delivered by , our No. 1 carpentry crew installed all ground floor thermal broken, double glazed, semi-commercial aluminium framed windows & frames by Trend Windows & Doors (with the exception of the sliding doors & curved wall windows happening soon), and our plumbing & drainage crew ran pipes for ground floor wet areas & garden taps (it all matters).

Our beautiful Olive has been architecturally designed and built for comfort and the seasonal climate of the Bungendore region.

Olive is durable, functional and energy efficient, whilst exuding elevated modern country style. We’re loving her soft, warm, and neutral colour palette, with hints of autumn glow.

Abundant natural sunlight and warmth is sweeping through, as it should given the optimal north facing orientation, considered window placement, and thoughtful skylights designed to do just that.
