🌟 Maali Room Excursion to Manning Library 📚

Our Kindy children enjoyed a wonderful excursion to the local Manning Library today! 😊

The children had a relaxing and enjoyable time exploring the library, choosing books that sparked their interest, and settling in for some quiet reading. They also had the opportunity to engage in creative play, enjoying the toys available and expressing their creativity through colouring activities.

Excursions such as these provide valuable opportunities for children to connect with their local community, develop a love of literacy, and enjoy learning in new environments.

A big thank you to the Manning Library staff for welcoming us and providing such a lovely space for our children to explore and enjoy. ❤️

💛 R U OK? Day — A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way 💛

R U OK? Day is a wonderful reminder to check in, start a conversation, and show others that we care.

Our children have been learning that caring for our community isn’t just about asking, “Are you OK?” — it’s also about showing kindness through our actions. 🌻

To celebrate, the children have been busy creating beautiful handmade gifts to give back to members of our community. Each gift has been lovingly crafted by little hands, with a whole lot of thought, care and kindness behind it.

It has been so special watching the children experience the joy of giving, connecting and making someone else smile. 😊

Because sometimes, a small handmade gesture can make a big difference. 💛

🌿🌼 Djilba Nature Exploration Walk 🌼🌿

Yesterday, the Quenda Room children headed to the oval to discover the beautiful signs of spring during Djilba. They spotted colourful yellow, purple, orange and white flowers, busy bees, and bright lorikeets searching for food. 🐝🦜🌸

Using their magnifying glasses, the children looked closely at the tiny details in nature and explored using all their senses — smelling, touching, seeing, and listening.

It was wonderful to see their curiosity grow as they slowed down, observed, and connected with the natural world around them. 🌱💚

Celebrating the superheroes in our lives! 🦸‍♂️💙

Last Friday, we welcomed all the dads, grandads, father figures, and special loved ones for a wonderful celebration. Our educators prepared a range of fun activities for children and their loved ones to enjoy together, including face painting and cookie decorating.

It was heartwarming to witness the special bonds shared through laughter, conversations, and quality time. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. We loved celebrating the important role you play in our children's lives and creating treasured memories together. 💙✨

🌟🦷 Special Visitors in the Maali Room! 🦷🌟

Today, the children in the Maali Room were excited to welcome first-year Dental students from UWA for a fun and interactive oral health incursion!

Through hands-on activities, games, and engaging demonstrations, the children learned all about how to keep their teeth healthy and strong. From practising the correct brushing techniques to discovering which foods help our teeth stay happy, there were plenty of opportunities to learn through play.

A big thank you to the UWA Dental students for sharing their knowledge and helping make oral health education both fun and memorable. The children had a fantastic time exploring, asking questions, and building healthy habits that will last a lifetime! 💙🪥✨

All throughout the week, we planned fun, meaningful and memorable experiences, along with a few special surprises, for our wonderful educators. 💐

📚✨ Book Week 2026 – Symphony of Stories! ✨📚

What a wonderful week of imagination, creativity and storytelling! 💛

To celebrate one of the most loved events for children, our children and educators dressed up as their favourite book characters and brought their beloved stories to life. 📖

Each room made the week extra special by exploring different themes and dressing up each day, creating lots of excitement, laughter and memorable moments. But the true highlight was seeing the children share their favourite stories with their peers. 🌟

There is something truly special about stories, they spark imagination, inspire curiosity and bring everyone together. ❤️📚

It was such a fun and memorable week! A big thank you to our wonderful families and educators for your support, creativity and encouragement in nurturing the children’s love of books and reading.

TAG Sports 🤸‍♀️⭐

Coach Matias had the children laughing, moving, balancing, and building confidence during another fun TAG Sports session 🌟

Through active play and movement challenges, our little learners developed their coordination, focus, and fundamental movement skills while enjoying every moment outdoors.

🌿 Exploring Djilba through the senses 🌿

Our Djidi Djidi children enjoyed a sensory tuff tray featuring Australian birds, koalas and beautiful fresh wattle flowers. The children were encouraged to look, touch and smell the flowers, supporting their sensory exploration while fostering a deeper connection with nature. 🐦🌼🐨

This experience provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with the Noongar season of Djilba, noticing and exploring the natural world around us. 💛

🔬 Science Week Fun! 🧪

This week, our friends have been busy little scientists, exploring exciting chemical reactions, colourful experiments, and plenty of hands-on fun.

Our educators transformed the learning environment into a laboratory-inspired space where children could investigate, discover, and learn. Through these experiences, they have been developing their problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Science Week is celebrated across Western Australia and Australia each year, encouraging children and communities to explore, question, and discover the wonders of science through hands-on learning and investigation.

We love seeing our children's curiosity, excitement, and joy for learning shine through every experiment! ✨
