Every Friday, we'll be rounding up some of the breastfeeding stories making headlines, from real mum experiences and new research to healthcare, advocacy, breastfeeding rights and positive developments supporting families.

This week, we're talking about a mum's experience of feeling like she was being filmed while breastfeeding in public, and an exciting expansion of donated human milk access for premature and medically vulnerable babies across NSW.

Two very different stories, but both part of the bigger conversation around breastfeeding and the experiences of the families navigating it.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here's how you can help.

This month we're shining a light on one of the charities our OMM Label community can support through our partnership with i=change: the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Every day in Australia, 56 people are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people die from it. NBCF funds research focused on preventing, detecting, stopping and treating breast cancer, with a vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.*

A staged video. A very real conversation.

A recent video depicting a breastfeeding mum being told to cover up on a plane has sparked plenty of debate online. And while the scenario itself was staged, the feelings behind the conversation are very real for many breastfeeding mums.

Because breastfeeding in public shouldn't be something a mum has to feel embarrassed, apologetic or uncomfortable about, yet it continues to happen and continues to make new breastfeeding mums fearful of feeding outside of the comfort of home.
