Doctor breaks silence after woman voluntarily ends her life The 23-year-old ‘passed away peacefully’ after using the state’s new voluntary assisted dying laws.

The law changes in Australia have done little to give peace of mind to our members, as meetings throughout the country continue to attract high turnouts.
This week was Tasmania’s turn, with elderly people seeking options of a peaceful and dignified death, knowing that the new laws in the country won’t help them.

This week Sarco has been the guest of honour at the 50th anniversary of NVVE marking the organisations founding in 1973. This was a huge event, with one of the largest gatherings of this nature in the world. NVVE has over175K members and is the largest assisted dying group in the world. As expected, Sarco was the main talking point on the future of death, also capturing the imagination of the media.

This week Philip Nitschke gave a keynote address at the prestigious LOGIN-2023, a cutting-edge tech conference in Vilnius (Lithuania). This was a gathering of some of the greatest tech pioneers in the world today. Philip’s invitation to speak was discussed in the Lithuanian parliament (…a pro-life MP was very upset!)
