🏉 DISPENSATION ASSESSMENT – SEASON 2026/27 🏉

With the new season approaching, NTRU will be holding a Dispensation Assessment for junior players who may need approval to play outside their usual age grade.

📅 Monday 5 October 2026
⏰ 5:00pm – 6:00pm
📍 NTRU Rugby Park

*Who may need a dispensation?*

Under Rugby Australia’s Age Grade Dispensation process, players may require an assessment if they are seeking to play up or down an age grade, or if they fall outside the relevant height and/or weight parameters for their age. For U10–U15 players who fall above or below both the height and weight parameters, the Size for Age Guidelines can make an assessment mandatory.

The assessment considers more than just a player’s size. An Independent Qualified Assessing Coach can consider factors including the player’s physical development, ability and experience, with player safety being the primary consideration. Completing an assessment does not automatically guarantee approval to move age grades.

📲 Before attending, parents/guardians please ensure:
• Your player’s current height and weight are updated in Rugby Xplorer
• Any required Dispensation Consent Form is completed through Rugby Xplorer
• Players attend the assessment session where required

If you’re unsure whether your child needs an assessment, please reach out to us via our socials or speak with your coach.
