Over 25 years, RubberGem has recovered thousands of rolls of end-of-life conveyor belting from iron ore operations across the Pilbara.

Rather than being sent to landfill or left in long-term stockpiles, this material has been transported to RubberGem, processed and given a new working life.

Today, conveyor belting recovered from the mining industry is being transformed into durable new products, including Australian-made agricultural flooring designed to remain in service for another 20 years or more.

It is difficult to capture 25 years of material movement in a single photograph so we created this image to help visualize the scale.

Just imagine how much material has been diverted from disposal over that time, how much value has been recovered, and how many new products have been created from something that had reached the end of its original purpose.

In 2001, RubberGem began in Welshpool with a clear purpose: to find a better use for rubber waste.

Twenty-five years later, that purpose has grown into an advanced recycling and manufacturing operation at East Rockingham, Western Australia.

What started at a small industrial site with our first two rolls of used conveyor belt has developed into a facility built to recover, reprocess and remanufacture end-of-life rubber at commercial scale.

Today, RubberGem takes end-of-life tyres and conveyor belts and turns them into new products and materials for agriculture, construction, manufacturing and infrastructure.

But the facility is only part of the story.
