No big agenda. No pressure to know anyone. Just coffee, little ones doing their thing, and people who understand that getting out the door was probably an achievement in itself.

One year. Six little lessons. And so many moments we’re grateful for. 🤍
We’ve learnt that sometimes the smallest moments can mean the most.
A coffee can turn into a friendship.
A quick conversation can make someone’s day.
A playdate can become a regular catch-up.
And sometimes, simply knowing there are other parents in the same boat can make everything feel a little lighter.
Thank you for being part of those moments. Here’s to ONE year of Parent Thread and everything that’s still to come. 🎂🤍

What a night 💙
Blokes & Braids brought together a room full of dads for an evening of braiding, nail painting, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, connection.
A huge thank you to every dad who came along, gave it a go and embraced the night. One of our favourite things was seeing the absolute concentration on so many faces as they worked on getting those braids just right 🥹
And this one took a lot of people to bring together.
Thank you to Torquay Bowls Club for hosting us, and to Nikki, Hope Johnson | TravelManagers , geelongconnectedcommunities and MIMI HAIRCARE FOR KIDS for supporting the event and helping us make it happen.
To our incredible volunteers and facilitators, including Si from Simon Moore and Christelle from The Parents Guild Mount Duneed, plus everyone else who gave their time, skills and energy on the night, thank you. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.
There’s something pretty special about creating spaces where dads can learn something new, have a laugh and connect with other dads.
We think we might need to do this again 👀
