Thank you Pat from Event Photos Australia | Professional Event Photographers for capturing these special moments performing at Geelong Gallery for a private booking at the Discovering the Impressionists: Paul Durand-Ruel exhibition.
I’ve had the privilege of performing here a few times now, with still another visit later this month. An absolute dream gig. I love my job.
When I started performing on accordion, I had no idea there would be such demand for roving Christmas entertainment. December has quickly become one of my most booked months! What a delightful surprise 🎁
I performed with my eyes closed at Winter Night Market last night and amassed the biggest ongoing crowds I’ve ever had in my five years performing here. Such an interesting social experiment! What do you think it means?

I’ve been reflecting on my small business journey a lot lately, especially how difficult it was in the early years. I got my ABN in 2019 right before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the music industry and Melbourne became one of the most locked down cities in the world. It felt like the universe didn’t want this to happen for me. It seemed that I would only ever be a busker with the occasional gig here and there, but that I’d always need full time employment to pay my bills.
I focused on what I could do and worked on growing my YouTube channel and Instagram, while practising hard and memorising as much repertoire as possible. I’ve spent so many hours dreaming about this life and having many failed attempts to make it happen. I’ve spent countless hours practising until I can’t move my fingers anymore, just to be good enough to prove that I’m worth taking a shot on, even when I had no reviews, no experience, no connections. I’ve sent countless emails and messages that have gone ignored, desperate for a chance to prove myself. I’m proud of myself for never giving up and believing in myself. This is where it got me. Living my dream.
When photos like this get sent to me after a gig, it makes me quite emotional. Seeing myself doing what I love at last. I don’t know how long this will last so I will cherish every gig and be as present as possible so that I have the memories forever.
