In a world of diminished attention spans, digital friends and borrowed opinions, Melu is an experimental live band that gives audiences the opportunity to sink into a realm of their own musical relativity! With live performance experience in Blues, Jazz, Rock, Soul, Funk and Fusion and influences spanning Jimi Hendrix, Steely Dan, Alan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson, Snarky Puppy, The Aristocrats, Guy LeClaire and many more Melu has spent the last 10 years crafting their own original songs and soundscape. Mark Howell – Guitars/Vocals

One of the great guitarists of the New England Region Mark has played guitar for over 30 years and studied at the conservatorium in Lismore. He has made a lifelong commitment to push his playing to the limit each time he graces the live setting. With experience on studio albums of his own and others Mark has great respect for other players and has countless musical influences. Steve Merta – Drums/Percussion/Vocals

Originally from Mildura Steve has had a long and successful career as a drummer for the last 40 years. This time saw long professional touring stints and stellar shows in numerous bands and genres. Steve is also an accomplished audio engineer both in the studio and live setting. He currently runs Anketell Soud Stage out of Bolivia NSW and has an extremely diverse and progressive musical feel. Michael is a multi-instrumentalist whom originally studied under the mighty Luke Oppenheimer. Michael was a Jazz/Blues/Folk guitarist prior to coming to the bass. He is a singer songwriter and composer and has had played on many studio albums and in bands on varying instruments as well as writing for others and himself. Melu will take you on a journey equipped with their own unique musical landscape full of the ideal mix of original songs and covers.
