Basic Elements Guildford Studio

Just finished this 30 drawer unit made from old packing cases. From a mechanics workshop in Central Java. Always new stock in the shop.

Just finished restoring this 1930’s solid teak shop cupboard from Central Java. Width is 1500, height is 1900 and depth is 350. Original glass.

The rear of Basic Elements has now been completed. The courtyard garden has been replanted (not helped by nightly visits from the Quenda’s), and the second showroom is now open. We look forward to you visiting the finally restored Basic Elements.

After all this time we are now just days away from opening the new second showroom at Basic Elements.

Just arrived, massive heavy iron doors from India. Good latch and hinge mounts.

Basic Elements now has a full range of handmade beveled and coloured glass lamps that came in the last shipment. Open seven days a week.

New stock has just arrived, including these solid rattan chairs from Central Java. We haven’t had these since before the fire. Open seven days a week.

Basic Elements is now almost back to normal, we are open 7 days a week from 9:30 till 3. A new container from Central Java has just arrived and the shop is almost full again.

After 732 days since the devastating fire on Christmas night 2021, Basic Elements Guildford Studio is reopening tomorrow. Stock is low, but we are working hard restoring pieces and the shop will fill quite quickly. The new building has a new seperate display area, we are excited about fitting it with furniture. Still opening Thursday through to Sunday 9:30 till 4:00 for the next few weeks.
