We're back in vic!
To all those interstate we unfortunately ran out of time, we left a month late, and stayed approximately 3 weeks longer than we should have, ending up severely behind with work in vic.
That being said we are planning another trip north very soon to cover everyone who we missed, aiming for roughly mid November.
All shipments will be finalised this week, those waiting on dyno tunes we will contact you also, anyone looking to book, we are almost fully booked out for the year, get in while you can! π

Quickest and fastest nugget WLAT 2.5 in the country going on almost 3 years now π¦
11.8 on a radial making 380hp, 12.7 no prep on a street legal semi slick on a slightly more street friendly tune. It has since made 480hp but we haven't run it at the track yet.
All while on a budget!
Standard engine (not even studs, just bolt on's)
Standard driveline
Standard leaf springs
It even has the original rear shocks π
Daily driven it returns a fuel economy of roughly 7-8l per 100km and is actually not horrible to drive.
With how cheap and readily available these utes are its a wonder why its taken this long for the 2.5 ranger platform to gain popularity, we have been pushing them for years now but only as of late have more and more people have started modifying them which is awesome to see! π
Joel Adcock absolutely ripping the little 2.5 PJ around Winton!
320hp at the rear wheels, and a mad man steering wheel makes for awesome viewing π

Another happy customer! π
Was an absolute pleasure to meet you and work on your ute Peter Ball! Thanks for the kind words!

Do it once, do it right round 2! π«‘
Another spicy 2.5 rocket given the magic touch!
This one making over 300hp π
Judd had it tuned elsewhere a while ago but had a couple issues such as a dead pedal on cold start, a nasty rattle on cruise, rough inconsistent idle and it was super super lazy to drive.
We started from scratch in the tune and worked until we ended up:
Spooling 500rpm earlier
Dropping peak boost 2-3psi lower meaning a happier turbo with slower shaft speed.
2 points leaner in the AFR meaning colder EGT
All while making the same if not more power and stretching its legs another 500rpm, making a full 1000rpm improvement of useable torque and power
Judd can now overtake or hit a hill in 5th if he really wanted to without needing to down shift, when before 4th gear was a must.
The goal wasn't to make more power, even though we could have with some headroom left in mid range fueling.
Judd wanted it safer, colder and nicer to drive while fixing little annoying tune issues, safe to say we ticked all the boxes π

Another happy customer fitted with a set of our complete genuine bosch drop in +50 injectors, 44mm, plenum and high mount, button clutch all fabbed and assembled by lachlan himself, and tuned by us neat and tidy little sleeper!
Should change our name to high mounts are us π Lachlans little ute makes approximately 250hp at the wheels with decent headroom in the tune to live long term as a daily while still being fun!

From misfiring, blowing white smoke on free rev, and running super hot and slow, to crisp, snappy and happy! π
Absolutely transforming driveability and power while making it more reliable! Who says you cant have your cake and eat it to?
This SAS'd, 2.5 swapped hi mount rig is no stranger to us, we tuned it a while back when it was a 3 litre with a 44mm for the old owner, he ended up cracking a bore after years of abuse and swapped a 2.5 in along with a flex 48mm turbo and had it tuned elsewhere.
Danny purchased it shortly after and was annoyed with how it drove, 5th gear was literally un-usable as egts would sky rocket, it came on boost very late in the rev range, and basically did nothing until 20+psi, it also had fault codes for the boost solenoid being deleted incorrectly and a high rail pressure fault.
He'd literally drive it in 4th at 100kmph keeping rpm around 3000 just to keep it cool, if he left it in 5th hed see 700c just cruising π₯
It was supposedly out of injector according to the old owner, and it had an issue with the lift pump and cam sensor which was causing the misfire, but in reality it was out of efficiency in the way it was tuned, and the ecu was set-up wrong.
We worked a little magic on the 2.5/3.0 hybrid ecu programming, developed a fresh base file and within the first 30 minutes she woke right up! With no engine light, no misfire, and bucketloads more torque.
We spent the next few hours finessing the tune and dialing down the boost to where its a good compromise between power and reliability, finishing up with almost 300c colder egts at full throttle, an average of 200c colder everywhere else, 6 psi less boost, and boost ramps in over 500rpm earlier while making substantially more horsepower at a leaner AFR, everywhere else in the transient areas off boost made more torque also!
We put this at 260hp at the wheels comfortably through the 33s and patrol drive line based off of similar utes wed tuned in the past on the same sort of tyre size and diffs.
These kind of setups can be a downright pain to get right when they're such a Frankenstein, your putting a smaller engine, with a bigger turbo in a heavy chassis topped off with having an ecu that was programmed for a 3 litre running the show.
Another absolutely wicked ute done with a customer smiling ear to ear! π

Another happy customer!
Stephen Roberts patiently waited a couple years to get us to work our magic on his trusty 3 litre.
Fitted with a bigger front mount, and a turbo back exhaust meant we could run a higher boost level safely, while still being well within the factory turbo's shaft speed limits.
Towing a camper and running around on fraser should be much easier, more economical and most of all still super reliable with fueling set to maintain a reasonable egt under high load for extended periods, which beach work requires alot of.
On the dyno we typically see 145hp and 450nm atw with this air fuel and boost, compared to 110hp 320nm standard, and from much lower down in the rev range, with useable torque way down around 1500rpm even in 5th!

The PJ that started it all! π
This was one of my first cars on my P's.
I started tinkering with these little 2.5s back around 2012, well before there was any sort of tuning interface available to modify the contents of ecu's, or off the shelf performance parts that were graced with now.
The best you could do is an exhaust, cooler and maybe one of those rail pressure chips that did next to nothing, i never even saw the point of a single mass clutch as the standard one held up just fine, i tried fooling maf sensors with resistors, rail pressure, even fooling map and quickly learned that the ecu was right up against its fuel limiters in stock form so boost increases did nothing, then i started looking into trying to tune them a number of years later.
Now days ill tune a bog stocker and slip the clutch almost instantly, it makes me laugh as younger me would have absolutely drooled over even a stock tuned one, now 300+hp is almost the norm out of these 15 year old diesel nuggets.
How times have changed, yet almost 15 years later here we are, tinkering with the same old model of ute that i was back then, and having just as much fun! π
I wonder where that little ute is now? π€
