Every job matters to us, and some projects carry a little more meaning than others.

We were asked to provide the structural supports for two ceremonial tree trunks that would become part of a gathering place at Torbanlea.

The brief was simple in principle: raise the trunks above the ground, keep the supporting steelwork as discreet as possible, and allow the natural form and presence of the timber to remain the focus.

The design began with a hand sketch and developed into a practical support system that could be built safely and economically, while respecting the space.

Now that the work is complete (great work by Multhana), it is especially satisfying to see the trunks settled into their new home.

We are proud to have contributed to this project. One that is not just about structure, but about community, story and connection.
