Ballet Express

Congratulations to our beautiful dancers on receiving scholarship offers from Youth America Grand Prix Sydney.

For us and our students it's not about winning first prize (although the feeling is nice) it's about growing as a dancer. From learning a variation to help the student grow and work on new skills, to the countless hours of hard work, to the performance on stage. It's the whole process that is important ✨️

Thank you to Youth America Grand Prix for creating a place for young dancers to show their work and be seen by world renowned artists in our industry.

It's not about the prize as a young dancer, it's about the growth! The prize is the potential professional career in years to come. That is what we are working towards 👏🏻 😊

Day 1 of Term 4.

The studio is quiet again, the barre is warm, and we are ready.

This term we work toward our annual Vaganova exams and end of year showcase. Not for the photograph. For the posture, the musicality, and the child who keeps trying when the step is hard.

Small classes. Real Vaganova. Highett.

We are excited. We are also ready to work.

So proud and happy for Elite 2 student, Everett on his acceptance into The Australian Ballet School ITP! I just love seeing student's dreams come true 🥲🥰
For Everett this is a dream he has been striving and working for! Congratulations Everett McKenna 🤩

For me as a coach and teacher, it's not just the dancing that needs to be polished, but everything from head to toe.

I tried my absolute best to make my dancers look and feel beautiful and polished by decorating their tutu's (with Ms Kristina's help) to doing their hair and make-up for the recent Youth America Grand Prix in Sydney.

I truly love all my students and it brought me such joy transforming them for the stage. We might be a small school, but we love each and everyone of our students and go that extra mile that other schools don't.

So proud of my Ballet Express crew, you were amazing 🤩🥰
