You’ll often see shed companies advertise their buildings as:
ENGINEERED. CERTIFIED. AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS COMPLIANT.
But here's something worth understanding:
Having a drawing signed by an engineer and actually engineering the structure are not necessarily the same thing.
At First Class Sheds, engineering isn't simply a signature at the end of the process.
Every structure goes through a detailed design and engineering process to determine whether the individual structural members have the required capacity for the loads they are subjected to.
That means we don't just look at the shed as a complete structure.
We analyse the individual members.
Columns.
Rafters.
Purlins.
Girts.
Bracing.
Connections.
Each member is checked against the relevant design criteria and applicable Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 4600 where applicable.

The image below is just a small snippet from the calculations for one individual structural member.
That single member has a 26-page calculation report documenting its engineering checks and capacities.
And that's one member.
Multiply that throughout the structure and you start to get an idea of the level of engineering detail that goes into a First Class Shed.
We don't expect you to simply take our word for it.
When we say our sheds are engineered, we can show you the engineering.
