A little reminder for anyone working on their health or making lifestyle changes đ
One of the lessons Iâve been learning from my mentor is:
We may not be able to get rid of negativity, but we can dilute it with positivity.
When weâre trying to change our eating habits, become more active, improve our health or simply take better care of ourselves, itâs so easy to focus on what we havenât done.
âI ate something I didnât plan to.â
âI missed my exercise.â
âI havenât lost weight this week.â
âIâm not where I want to be yet.â
But what if we also gave ourselves permission to notice the little wins? đą
⨠You cooked a meal instead of ordering takeaway.
⨠You went for a walk, even when you didnât feel like it.
⨠You drank a little more water.
⨠You stopped eating when you felt comfortably full.
⨠You got back on track after a difficult day.
⨠You asked for help.
⨠You tried again.
These things count.
Making lifestyle changes isnât about being perfect. Itâs about learning, adjusting, and continuing.
Some days will feel easier than others. There will be ups and downs, and thatâs completely human.
So when the negative thoughts become loud, try giving yourself a little double dose of positivity:
đ Think about what youâre grateful for.
đą Celebrate one small win from today.
đ§ Notice how you speak to yourself.
đ Keep learning.
đ¤ Surround yourself with people who encourage you.
⨠Focus on progress, not perfection.
You donât need to change everything at once.
One small positive choice, repeated consistently, can become a big change over time.
And if today didnât go as planned?
Tomorrow is another opportunity to begin again. đť
Be kind to yourself. Youâre learning, growing and doing your best â and that journey matters too. đ

âWhere are your fluffy slippers today? Youâre wearing shoes today??â đŁđ
This question made me laugh because multiple clients asked me the same thing on the same day!
Apparently, seeing me wear actual shoes was the unusual part. đ
But it made me realiseâŚ
It was never really about the slippers.
It was about the feeling behind them.
Walking into a healthcare appointment can feel intimidating. Many people come in wondering:
âWill I be judged?â
âWill I be told everything Iâm doing wrong?â
âDo I need to have everything figured out first?â
And the answer is⌠no. â¤ď¸
A consultation is not about judgement. Itâs about creating a safe space to talk openly about your food, health, lifestyle, challenges and goals.
Because food is never just food.
Itâs connected to our emotions, family, culture, busy lives, stress, celebrations and memories.
Thatâs why Iâve always wanted my consultation room to feel warm, welcoming and humanânot cold or clinical.
Yes, I love my fluffy slippers, walking barefoot, cute little piggy things and discovering delicious foodsâŚ
But Iâm also a real person who has busy days, challenges and imperfect moments too.
Health isnât about perfection.
Itâs about small steps, support, and having someone walk alongside you.
So if youâve been thinking about making a change, remember:
You donât need to have everything figured out before asking for help.
Sometimes the first step is simply finding a space where you feel comfortable enough to begin. â¤ď¸
đŹ Iâd love to hear from youâŚ
What is one small thing that has helped you feel comfortable and cared for when seeing a healthcare professional?

To anyone who is trying to make a change but feeling frustrated because the results arenât coming fast enough⌠this is your reminder. â¤ď¸
Change is rarely as quick or as straightforward as we hope it will be.
We start with motivation.
We make a plan.
We put in the effort.
We expect to see progress.
But then the scale doesnât move.
The habit doesnât stick.
A setback happens.
Life gets busy.
And suddenly, we start questioning ourselvesâŚ
âAm I even making a difference?â
âWhy is this so hard?â
âMaybe Iâm just not good enough.â
Please remember this:
Progress is not always visible straight away.
Sometimes the biggest changes are happening quietly.
The decision to make a better choice when nobody is watching.
The ability to get back on track after a difficult day.
The awareness of old habits and choosing differently.
The strength to keep going even when motivation is low.
We often underestimate how much growth is happening beneath the surface.
A setback doesnât mean youâve failed.
A slow week doesnât mean youâre going backwards.
A number on the scale doesnât define your effort or your worth.
Real, lasting change is built through consistencyânot perfection.
Think about a tree growing. We donât see the roots getting stronger every day, but they are what allow the tree to stand tall through storms.
Your journey is the same.
Be patient with yourself.
Celebrate the small wins.
Focus on what you can control today.
You donât need to be perfect.
You just need to keep moving forward.
One small step.
One better choice.
One day at a time.
Remember, progress is still progressâeven when itâs slower than you hoped. â¤ď¸

âYou must be so motivatedâŚâ đ¤
I hear this quite often.
The funny thing is⌠Iâm not motivated all the time.
Every Saturday, I block out around 3 hours for meal prep.
Do I always look forward to it?
Nope! đ
Even though I genuinely love cooking, there are weekends when Iâd rather sleep in, go for brunch, catch up with friends, or simply do nothing.
But Iâve realised something over the yearsâŚ
The life we want isnât built by how we feel in the moment. Itâs built by the commitments we make to our future selves.
So every Saturday, I keep that appointment with myself.
Not because I enjoy spending three hours in the kitchen every weekendâŚ
But because I absolutely LOVE what those three hours give me during the week.
They give me freedom.
Freedom from standing in front of the fridge at 7 pm asking,
âWhatâs for dinner?â
Freedom from making food decisions when my brain is already exhausted after seeing clients all day.
Freedom from relying on takeaway because itâs âjust easier.â
Freedom to spend more time doing the things that matter most.
As a dietitian, one of the biggest lessons Iâve learnt is thisâŚ
Healthy eating isnât about having more willpower.
Willpower is unreliable.
Life gets busy.
Work gets stressful.
We get sick.
Plans change.
We get tired.
If our health depends on feeling motivated every day, weâll always be starting again on Monday.
Instead, build systems that support you.
For me, meal prep is one of those systems.
It doesnât need to be perfect or Instagram-worthy.
Sometimes itâs simply:
đ Cooking enough protein for several meals.
𼌠Roasting a tray of vegetables.
đ Preparing rice or potatoes.
𼣠Making breakfast in advance.
đ Packing snacks so I donât have to think about them later.
Simple.
Practical.
Sustainable.
Those three hours each Saturday save me hours of cooking, cleaning, grocery runs, decision-making and âWhat should we eat tonight?â conversations during the week.
They also help me stay on budget, reduce food waste, and make nourishing meals the easiest optionânot because I have incredible self-control, but because Iâve already done the thinking.
Thatâs something Iâm incredibly passionate about helping my clients understand.
Health isnât all or nothing.
Itâs not about eating perfectly.
Itâs not about never enjoying takeaway, celebrations, or dessert.
Itâs about creating routines that make nourishing yourself easier, while still leaving room to enjoy life without guilt.
Because when healthy choices become part of your routine, they stop feeling like hard work.
So yes⌠every Saturday, I invest three hours.
Not because I have spare time.
Because I know that investment gives me more time, more energy, less stress, and a much better week ahead.
⨠Sometimes the greatest act of self-care isnât a spa day or a weekend awayâŚ
Itâs doing something today that your future self will quietly thank you for.
What routine has made the biggest difference in your life? Iâd love to hear it. đ

đ If you already know what to eat⌠why is it still so hard?
This is something Iâve been reflecting on a lot lately.
We live in a world where information is everywhere. We can Google healthy recipes, watch fitness videos, listen to podcasts, read books, or even ask AI what to eat.
Yet despite having all this information, making lasting changes can still feel incredibly difficult.
Hereâs what Iâve learnt after supporting so many amazing clients over the yearsâŚ
Most people donât need more information.
They need more support.
They need someone to help them navigate the busy weeks, the emotional eating, the self-doubt, the setbacks, and the feeling that theyâve âfailedâ because life got in the way.
Healthy living has never been about simply âeat less and move more.â
Itâs about understanding you.
Your lifestyle.
Your habits.
Your challenges.
Your mindset.
Your goals.
At Nutri4Life, we donât expect perfection.
We celebrate the small wins because theyâre the building blocks of lifelong change.
Some weeks your win might be preparing lunch instead of buying takeaway.
Some weeks it might be drinking more water, adding vegetables to one meal, or simply choosing to start again after a difficult week.
And thatâs okay.
Real progress isnât about being perfect.
Itâs about taking one small step, one day at a time.
So if youâve been feeling frustrated or thinking, âI know what I should do⌠I just canât seem to stick with it,â please know youâre not alone.
Youâre not lazy.
Youâre not lacking willpower.
You might just need the right support, encouragement, and a plan that fits your lifeânot someone telling you to âtry harder.â
đ Be kind to yourself.
đ Celebrate every step forward.
đ Remember that lasting health is a journey, not a race.
Weâre here to walk that journey with you.
⨠Weâd love to hear from youâwhatâs one small health win youâre proud of this week? Share it below so we can celebrate with you! đ

Nutri4Life celebrates 10 wonderful years. đ
Looking back, my heart is filled with gratitude.
What started with one simple goalâto help peopleâhas grown into something so much bigger. Over the past decade, weâve had the privilege of supporting so many incredible people to build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food, improve their health, and create lasting lifestyle changes.
It hasnât always been an easy journey. There have been challenges, moments of doubt, and many lessons along the way. But every experience has helped us grow, strengthened our purpose, and reminded us why we do what we do.
To every client who has trusted us with your health, thank you. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. Watching your confidence grow, celebrating your wins, and seeing you thrive has been the greatest reward.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to our amazing team and the healthcare professionals who have supported and believed in our vision. This milestone wouldnât have been possible without you.
One of the biggest lessons these past 10 years has taught me is that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness, encouragement, and genuine care can make the biggest difference in someoneâs life.
Thank you for being part of our story. Weâre so grateful for every person weâve had the privilege to meet, and weâre excited for the many lives weâll continue to support in the years ahead.

đ˝ Feeling a little âdifferentâ? Thatâs actually your superpower.
Today Iâm showing up as an alien⌠and it got me thinking đ
There is no such thing as ânormalâ when it comes to people.
We all have different:
đ food preferences (yesâeven chips with ice cream!)
đ routines and energy levels
đ health conditions and challenges
đ ways of learning and making change
đ lifestyles, families, and pressures
So why do we sometimes feel like weâre âdoing it wrongâ when our journey doesnât look like someone elseâs?
đ Youâre not weird if you donât like vegetables
đ Youâre not failing if meal plans donât work for you
đ Youâre not the problem if strict routines donât stick
It just means⌠that approach wasnât built for YOU.
Instead, try shifting the focus to:
⨠What actually works for your day-to-day life
⨠Small steps you can repeat consistently
⨠Progress over perfection
⨠Building habits that feel realisticânot restrictive
Because real, lasting change isnât about doing things perfectlyâŚ
Itâs about doing things in a way that fits YOU.
So if youâve ever felt like the âodd one outââŚ
Youâre not aloneâand youâre not doing it wrong đ
Keep it simple.
Keep it realistic.
Keep goingâone small step at a time.
Yeah
And donât forget⌠youâre allowed to enjoy the journey too đ

âI know what I should be eating⌠I just canât seem to stick to it.â
If this sounds like you â youâre not alone đ
So many people come in feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or even disappointed in themselves when it comes to their health.
But hereâs something important to remember:
đ Itâs not because you donât care
đ Itâs not because youâre not trying
Often, itâs because the advice youâve been given doesnât actually fit your life right now.
We all start our health journey at a different place đą
Different routines.
Different stress levels.
Different responsibilities.
Different confidence when it comes to food and health.
And when a plan doesnât match where you are â it can feel too hard, too much, or just impossible to keep up with.
Thatâs not failure. Thatâs a mismatch.
At its core, improving your health isnât about following a âperfectâ plan.
Itâs about:
⨠building your confidence
⨠learning what works for you
⨠creating habits that fit into your real life
Because real life isnât perfect.
Things change.
Life gets busy.
Motivation goes up and down.
And thatâs okay đ¤
Your health journey is not a quick fix. Itâs something you build over time.
Thereâs no 30-day challenge or strict plan that will suddenly make everything easy forever.
What does work is taking small, realistic steps â and building from there.
Learning.
Trying.
Adjusting.
Growing.
At your pace đż
So if youâve ever felt like:
âIâve tried before and failedâ
âI donât know where to startâ
âI just canât stay consistentâ
Please know â youâre not alone, and youâre not doing it wrong đ
You might just need the right support, at the right level, for you.
đ Because everyone deserves to feel confident, supported, and in control of their health.

A little fun confession⌠I actually LOVE shoes đ đ (and yes⌠I have quite a collection đ
)
But somehow, many of you keep catching me walking around barefoot â in the clinic, between consults, or just doing my thing. Iâve even earned the nickname⌠âthe Barefoot Dietitianâ đ¤Ł
Some of you probably think I donât own any shoes at all!
Honestly, I donât mind â itâs a little reminder for me (and maybe for all of us) that life doesnât always have to be so perfect or put together. Sometimes itâs okay to slow down, feel grounded, and just be present.
On a more important note⌠I know many of you are navigating your own challenges right now â with health, weight, life, or just feeling overwhelmed at times.
So today, letâs keep things simple đ
If you can â smile
If you can â be kind to yourself
If you can â lead with empathy
If you can â take a deep breathe
If you can â express gratitude
Because those small things truly make a difference⌠more than we realise.
Iâm so grateful for each and every one of you and the trust you place in me. Letâs continue to support not just ourselves, but each other â with kindness, care, and a little bit of laughter along the way đ
And yes⌠youâll probably still catch me barefoot next time đ
