Our philosophy at SSP has always been to help provide a format and medium for local artists to perform their music and help them build a career, but that's hard to do when you can't even find four walls and a roof to put on a show.

Unfortunately there has been a massive shift in the entertainment landscape and we are seeing more and more venue closures statewide.

This means:

- less opportunities for local and emerging artists.

- less entertainment options for you and your families

- and worst of all it sends a deeply distressing message to anyone looking to find a career in the arts.

Tasmania has always been a place dedicated to enriching the lives of those privileged enough to live here and it's sad to see so many avenues being taken away from not only the youth, but also performing artists. Some of which have spent years of their life perfecting their craft in these spaces and make their bread and butter running the gig circuit to this day.

Unfortunately, we don't own a venue you can book and play at. But you do still have options as both a musician and a punter.

Below are some excellent venues that still serve live music. Be it cover bands, metal nights, rap shows or anything in-between. you can still find your people and build a community. Get in touch and let us help you. 🙏

Spreyton it was an honour. What a night. It's amazing that people in a rural community in little old Tassie can band together to create something truly special.

Spreyton Cider Co have some of the most lovely staff and is one of the most stunning venues we have had the pleasure of working. the legendary Clifford Blake-Smith absolutely shattered all expectations with planning and organising the event and none of it would have been possible without all the amazing bands and acts that made themselves available.

That's not to mention YOU the audience. For a grassroots festival to have over 700 attendees on its debut it seriously something to be proud of.
