IO Performance is a performance group necessitated out of a need to make bold theatre.
IO Performance is a performance group necessitated out of a need to make bold, dangerous and innovative theatre & performance that interrogates the medium, challenging audiences and artists alike. Works by IO focus on new, interesting and challenges ways of approaching and accessing performance. In our works we aim to maintain the essence and integrity of theatre and performance whilst challenging accepted notions and the status quo. One of our founding creeds and partial namesake is โyou get out as much as you put inโ refers to the symbiosis that is participating in theatre โ both audience and performer are on this ride together.

A range of games throughout IO.
You can play, watch or criticise, depends on who you are as a gamer!

Actus Reus (The Guilty Act) had its final reading of the last two seasons today!
This complex crime thriller spans four seasons and sixteen episodes. Today this team of artists read EARTH and AIR, completing the series and seeing the whole picture.
This play, written by Artistic Director Grace Roberts, has been 17 years in the making and she is extremely grateful for the artists time, generosity and questions about this epic story.
