Put a Little Pretzel in Your Life – Become His Sponsor!

You may remember our very special little boy, Pretzel, who was born in Little Paws care with severely deformed hind legs. His back legs made everyday life incredibly difficult, especially when it came to toileting, and after much discussion with our specialist vets, Pretzel underwent a double hind leg amputation.

It was a huge decision, but one that has completely changed his life.

And now? Pretzel is absolutely loving life!

He has discovered a whole new way of getting around, scooting and walking along on his front legs with his little bottom lifted off the ground. Without his hind legs getting caught on things, he has so much more freedom to move around—and he is making the most of it!

Basically, Pretzel has gone from being a little pretzel to being a very happy little potato

While his surgery has given him a much better quality of life, Pretzel will continue to need some extra care. His ongoing expenses include nappies, onesies, baby wipes and cleaning supplies, as well as his regular food and veterinary care. https://www.littlepawskittenrescue.org.au/sponsor

Breaking News: Felix box refills itself.

In a shocking turn of events, a perfectly good Purina Australia felix food box has magically refilled itself with a kitten who has decided that this is now the most luxurious accommodation in the house.

Forget fancy cat beds. Forget expensive toys. Forget the carefully selected blanket that you spent far too much money on.

Give a cat an empty box and suddenly they are living their best life.

Because if it fits, it sits. And if it’s a Felix box, apparently it’s five-star accommodation. I think we should all share if it fits it sits moments.

Ultra Update: This week’s photo shoot had one clear winner… Ultra.

He didn’t just pose he dominated. He’s so magnificent we’ve promoted him straight to Facebook Banner Boy status.

Ultra is looking for a human who loves brushing cats and would be delighted to have him as their one and only.

Because honestly, after seeing those photos, he’s pretty sure you won’t need any other cat anyway.

Come meet Ultra and admire him in person — he insists.

Morning from Celeste, our fluffy little chaos gremlin.

Just a quick Celeste update — and… look what she’s gifted her foster carer.
Yep. Ringworm. A special kind of love.

When Celeste was shaved at the vet, we all assumed the extensive sores over her body were from flea allergies. But after lots of cuddles (because who can resist her?), a suspicious little patch appeared on her foster carer’s arm. And ta‑da… ringworm revealed itself. A quick check under a special UV lamp and — boom — it lit up like a neon sign, confirming Celeste’s latest party trick. (FYI — ringworm isn’t actually a worm, just an annoying fungal infection.)

So now it’s fungal cream for the foster carer, and tablets plus regular medicated baths for Celeste. And honestly? We think Celeste is very proud of herself. She’s strutting around like a pampered princess and seems to be genuinely enjoying her spa‑day baths every second day.

Only Celeste could turn ringworm into a beauty routine.

A big thank you to everyone who has donated towards Celeste’s care — we can now add ringworm medication and lots and lots of shampoo to her list of needs. Your support means the world to her (and her very patient foster carer).

Bentley is ready for his fresh start

https://www.littlepawskittenrescue.org.au/product-page/bentley

This beautiful black smoke and white boy is just over four years old and has the gentlest little heart. He’s a naturally shy soul who takes his time getting to know new people, but once he feels safe, his sweet, loving nature shines through.

Bentley came to us after the pound reached out for help — the busy environment was simply too much for him. They knew he had so much potential, and they were right. In a quiet home with patient, gentle adults, Bentley will blossom into the peaceful, affectionate companion he’s meant to be.

If you have a calm home and a soft spot for sensitive cats, Bentley may be your perfect match. He’s ready for someone who will let him bloom at his own pace and love him for the treasure he is. 💕

❤️‍🩹 SPONSOR ME ❤️‍🩹

Chicken is a beautiful 2-year-old boy with a big personality and a special heart. He has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and a grade 3 heart murmur, which means his heart needs a little extra support and his life expectancy is sadly shortened. He takes daily medication and follows a special diet, but otherwise Chicken is a happy, healthy boy who loves life! He’s fascinated by water, enjoys burrowing under his blankets when he’s cold, and is always ready for a meal after his medication. He’s also an excellent foster cat dad, happily grooming and caring for the kittens around him. Chicken has so much love and personality to give, and we’re hopeful he’ll continue to enjoy many happy years with his foster family.

Meet Maximus — Our Tiny but Mighty Mascot in Training

As our long serving mascots begin to approach their well earned retirement, we’ve been quietly searching for a very special rescue who could step into their pawprints and help us continue sharing the important message of why rescue matters.

And we’ve found him.

Say hello to Maximus — affectionately known as Maxy — our tiny but mighty Lilac Burmese kitten. Maxy came to us as a very sick, fragile 6 week old surrender, and for a while his future was uncertain. But this little fighter had other plans. Against all odds, he not only survived… he thrived.

Today, Maxy is full of life, confidence, and cheeky charm — everything a great Mascot needs. He even attended his first Adoption Day last weekend, greeting visitors, soaking up cuddles, and showing everyone exactly what rescue can achieve.

We’re so proud of this brave little boy and excited to watch him grow into his new role. Here’s to Maxy — the next generation of rescue mascot, reminding us all that even the tiniest lives can make the biggest impact.

Meet Ginny — our tiny ginger‑and‑white little girl

https://www.littlepawskittenrescue.org.au/product-page/ginny

Fun fact: Female gingers are extra special — only about 1 in 5 ginger cats are girls. So Ginny isn’t just adorable, she’s a rare little treasure.

If you’ve got a ginger at home, show us your photos. We’d love to see all the fiery‑coloured felines in our community.

Ginny is so ready to find her forever family — maybe she’s meant for you.
