BMA CQ Rescue was tasked this morning to a station near Nebo following a quad bike rollover.

A 49-year-old male was treated at the scene for suspected internal and spinal injuries before being transported in a stable condition to Mackay Base Hospital for further medical assessment and treatment.❤️‍🩹🚁

A family of four, including two children aged nine and 12, has been safely winched from their damaged yacht after it ran aground on Elizabeth Reef in the Whitsundays in the early hours of this morning.

BMA CQ Rescue was tasked by the AMSA Rescue Coordination Centre Australia after the approximately 35-foot yacht ran aground on the remote reef at around 4am.

Located approximately 120km offshore and 50km north of Reefworld, the family remained aboard the damaged vessel until the BMA CQ Rescue helicopter arrived around sunrise.

With the yacht’s mast creating a hazard, the flight crew carefully positioned the helicopter above the vessel while a BMA CQ Rescue rescue swimmer was lowered to the yacht.

Each family member was secured individually and winched to safety, with the crew carefully managing the aircraft, winch cable, swimmer and mast throughout the operation.

All four family members were successfully recovered and flown to Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.

The father had sustained head injuries and was treated in-flight by a BMA CQ Rescue critical care paramedic before being transferred to Queensland Ambulance Service and transported to Proserpine Hospital for further treatment.

BMA CQ Rescue was tasked this morning to Ken Logan Road, Clermont, following a collision involving a vehicle and a coal train. Emergency services, including Queensland Police Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, attended the scene.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, a woman believed to be in her mid-to-late 20s, was assessed by emergency services and transported by BMA CQ Rescue in a serious but stable condition.❤️‍🩹🚁
