Did you know that there are situations that make consent IMPOSSIBLE?

Someone can't consent if they're:
💜 Unconscious
💜 Asleep
💜 Below the age of consent
💜 Incapacitated
💜 Under the influence

Pick up lines can often be seen as rude, sleezy and can make the other person feel like an object.

Instead, try having a genuine conversation and let first impressions speak for themselves.

Just because they're active, doesn't mean they have to respond 🤷

Imagine a world where biases are a distant memory and your gender and s*x didn't place you in a box that limited your value or opportunities.

📣 Listen to peoples boundaries 📣

Ever felt frustrated when someone doesn't text back, even though they're active?

Just remember, being on their phone doesn't mean they owe you a response.

Expecting instant replies reflects controlling behaviour.

Next time, take a breath, give space, and trust they'll respond when they can.

ANSWER:

Yes it is.

Behaviours surrounding s*xual assault are NOT neutral.

S*xual assault is about gaining and absuing power.

When someone chooses to be 'neutral' in a situation discussing a s*xual assault, they are saying that the behaviour is okay.

By refusing to acknowledge that the perpetrator is the only person at fault, they are victim blaming.

When we victim blame and fail to hold perpetrators accountable, we see the cultural issue of s*xual assault continuing indefinitely until action is taken.

What other things should your partner make you feel?

ANSWER:

Breaking up with an abusive partner can be very different from breaking up with someone who isn’t abusive. Because abusers believe that they are entitled to control you, they may not let you break up with them.

If you’re considering breaking up with an abusive partner it’s important to talk it though with an adult you trust. You may want to fill out a safety plan to help you stay safe. You will need to be prepared for your abuser trying to ‘win you back’.

Writing a list of all the reasons why you weren’t happy in the relationship may help you stay strong.

Abuse isn’t always physical. Coercion is an act or a pattern of acts including assault, threats, humiliation and intimidation or other abuse that is used to harm, punish, or frighten their victim, in a view to get what they want.
