We’re seriously stoked to be getting close to the finish line with our Toyota-specific half shafts for the JZX family.

The lathe turning work is now complete. Next up is the milling work, followed by heat treatment. Once that process is complete, the seal and bearing surfaces will be precision ground to bring these components to the exact specifications we require.

And importantly these are not “billet” half shafts. The word billet gets thrown around in the car scene too much lately.

Our half shafts are manufactured from forgings that we have specifically invested in. Every one of our half shafts is forged.

There are no shortcuts.

This is a huge part of what allows us to engineer the strongest Quickchange components in the aftermarket. We invest in the right materials, the right manufacturing processes and the right equipment because we want our products engineered to withstand the demands of serious motorsport.

We’re already moving onto the next shaft variation, half shafts designed to suit Wisefab axles.

This has been requested by race teams from all around the globe, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the demand for what we’re developing.

We’re extremely proud to be the only company manufacturing such options for the Quickchange, and we will keep on innovating.

We’ve just added two brand-new vertical broaching machines to our manufacturing capabilities.

Until now, our in-house broaching capacity has been limited to horizontal broaching. These new vertical machines take things to another level, providing significantly greater strength, rigidity and control, allowing us to broach components with even greater precision, consistency and repeatability.

Seeing almost a dozen cars running our Speedtek Quick Change Differential at the highest level of drifting in Europe is something we’re incredibly proud of.

It’s a real reminder of how far we’ve come.

We’re not just building differentials. We’re building products that are being pushed to their limits at the highest level of competition.

For the final round in Poland this weekend, two members of our U.S. team are on the ground supporting our drivers through our Quick Change Program, helping keep everyone on track and making sure our teams have the support they need when it matters most.

One of the things we really wanted to offer with our 4-Speed T56 Specific Dog Engagement Gearsets was something beyond simply changing the gears.

We wanted to rethink the rotating assembly itself.

Our next development is a replacement 5th–6th gear blank, manufactured from 6061 aluminium billet, fully splined and anodized, and designed to the exact same dimensions as the factory 5th–6th gear assembly found inside the T56.

The concept is simple... remove the 5th and 6th gears from the secondary countershaft altogether. Making this a true 4 speed dog box.

That means removing a significant amount of unnecessary rotating mass from the transmission.

Less weight in the rotating assembly means a lighter, more purpose-built transmission package designed specifically around a 4-speed configuration.

To make the whole system work correctly, we also need to redesign and manufacture the H-Gate inside the transmission.

Our 4-speed configuration will therefore require our purpose-built H-Gate plate, which we are currently designing and manufacturing specifically for this application.

This is exactly the type of engineering we love.

The level of detail going into this project is incredible, and we're extremely proud of what our team is developing.

Our engineering and manufacturing teams are working around the clock across both our USA HQ and Australian HQ to bring this vision to reality.

Every part has been designed, modelled and engineered, with 5 different 1st gear ratios available to suit different applications and setups.

We’ve gone through the entire assembly piece by piece, down to the smallest component. We’re not just making a few sets and calling it done either we’ve already got hundreds of each individual component completed, giving us plenty of inventory to support these kits properly.

This is what we love about engineering getting completely carried away in the details until there’s nothing left to design.

The ONLY item left on the list is the final 4-Speed specific 3rd–4th gear hubs, which are being designed specifically to suit the OEM T56 mainshaft.

Once those are completed, the entire 4-Speed T56 Dog Engagement program is ready to go.

Something that often gets overlooked when people look at a differential is what’s happening inside.

ALL of our bearings and seals come from world-renowned, premium manufacturers like Timken, NSK, SKF, Nachi, Koyo etc.

We deliberately choose high-quality, industrial-grade components because this is one area where we simply refuse to compromise.

When you’re designing a differential for serious horsepower, torque and abuse, the bearings are not the place to chase a few pennies of savings.
