They’re Bo***es. Not Barriers. 💗
Would you hesitate to perform CPR on a woman?
Would you worry about touching or exposing her breasts, or feel unsure about where to place AED pads?
These are real barriers — and conversations we already have in our CPR and First Aid courses.
We talk about CPR on women, correct AED pad placement and, importantly, not letting embarrassment or uncertainty stop you from acting.
As an all-female training team, this is a campaign that really resonates with us.
That’s why we’re proud to support NIFAT’s Bo***es Not Barriers campaign and help raise awareness of these very real barriers.

What makes it hard to ask “R U OK?” 💚
We asked students and staff this question at Holmesglen’s R U OK? Day event last week — and the board quickly filled up.
Feeling awkward. Not knowing what to say. Worrying about overstepping. Not knowing how to help... the list went on.
Sometimes the barrier isn’t that we don’t care — it’s that we don’t feel confident about what to say or what to do next.
That’s where Mental Health First Aid training can help.
R U OK? Day gets us talking. Mental Health First Aid prepares us for the conversation and support that follows.
What gets in the way for you when it comes to asking “R U OK?” 💚

Today is World First Aid Day, and we're taking a moment to say thank you. 💚
To the workmate who knows how to manage a fall. The supervisor who stays calm through a burn. The colleague who knows the right thing to do in the first few crucial moments of an emergency.
These are ordinary people who took the time to learn something extraordinary — a skill that could save a life. Across Australia, in trades, hospitality, agriculture, healthcare and everything in between, they show up ready. That's worth celebrating.
If your workplace already has a trained first aider, today’s the perfect day to say thanks. If you think your workplace might be caught short in an emergency, get first aid training on your radar.
Because safety starts with knowing what to do — and the people who know it are quiet everyday heroes.
Thank you, first aiders. We see you. 🙌

Women’s Health Week | Meet Marne 💚
Today we’re getting to know Marne, Remedy’s Admin Assistant.
For Marne, feeling good is about good food, staying active, switching off at home and making time for family and friends.
💚 Fuel: A Spanish latte and samgyupsal — two of my absolute favourites!
💚 Move: Pickleball! I love playing — it keeps me moving, and I have so much fun doing it.
💚 Rest: Watching Netflix — usually a K-drama or documentary — and listening to Spotify at home. It’s my favourite way to switch off and relax.
💚 Breathe: Spending time in a peaceful nature spot on the weekend — being surrounded by nature helps me slow down, breathe and reset.
💚 Connect: Spending quality time with my family and friends — sharing good food, playing pickleball and enjoying a good chat together.
A few of the simple things that help Marne feel good and look after herself.
And that wraps up our Women’s Health Week series!
We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know the women behind Remedy and found a little inspiration in the simple things that help each of us take care of ourselves and feel good. 💚

Today, September 10, World Su***de Prevention Day and R U OK? Day land on the same day.
A rare overlap and a timely reminder: the conversation matters more than getting the words exactly right.
If you’ve ever held back from asking someone if they’re ok because you weren’t sure what to say, you’re not alone. But those who need the conversation started are usually very grateful.
If you’d like training to give you the confidence and the framework for what comes after you’ve asked RU OK? Reach out to learn about Mental Health First Aid.

Women’s Health Week | Meet Hayley
Today we’re getting to know Hayley, Founder & Director of Remedy 💚
For Hayley, feeling good is about movement, slowing down when needed, and making time for the things that help her recharge.
💚 Fuel: Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. Oats are my go-to, and always a chai!
💚 Move: Running is my favourite, but some days a walk or gentle yoga is what I need. I’m getting better at listening to my body and pulling back when I need to.
💚 Rest: Switching off screens and winding down with stretching, journalling or reading. Getting outside in the sunshine — especially near the beach and water — always helps me recharge.
💚 Breathe: Taking a breath break when I feel overwhelmed. A few slow, intentional breaths help me feel calmer and more grounded.
💚 Connect: Catching up in person — a chai or a walk with someone. We’re so connected online, but for me, nothing beats connecting face-to-face.
These are some of the simple things that help Hayley feel good — finding what works for you is what matters.
