The new moon in Virgo weaves the magick of grounding and practicality. Virgo is an earth sign, reminding us to be in the moment and to feel the earth under our feet.

New moons are all about renewal, and Virgo energy is in full splendour reorganising and refreshing. The Virgin of the Zodiac breathes a sigh of relief when order is restored.

Under the shadow of the new moon, it is time to purify and restore. Be curious about change, contemplate becoming more balanced, and about reinventing yourself. Create an intriguing routine to bless your mental and emotional health. Take time to implement ways to relieve mental overload, take a breath. Sometimes we are unable to find resolutions by thinking. Simply come into the present and ask for divine guidance. Time also to address emotions that overwhelm and deplete. Bring balance through letting go. It can be difficult to understand others and resolve hurt, but in time feelings can soften and sometimes change for the better. Place your hands on your heart and imagine being one with the earth, the trees, the hills and the sand. Connect in time and place, without thought or attachment.

In the tarot, the Hermit is associated with the sign of Virgo, reminding us that answers are found within. Take a moment, reorder the cluttered mind and the heavy heart. Come into the present and breathe.

FULL MOON IN PISCES ON 28TH AUGUST AT 14:18 AEST

PARTIAL LUNAR ECLIPSE

Prepare for a heightening of emotions, visions, and yearnings to break free under the full moon in Pisces. Pisces is a water sign ruled by the planet Neptune, God of the Sea. The moon governs the oceans, holds our heart in Her hands; she is the mother of feelings, the psychic realm, instinct and the subconscious. She calls forth our dream-life, the Light and the Shadow.

This Pisces moon may well be a spiritual awakening, a time to experience your heart and express it clearly with sensitivity. However, Pisces is also akin to illusion and escapism, so be mindful to tread thoughtfully. The moon’s square with Uranus may cause some frantic feelings of now or never and you may feel compelled to rush or blurt out what you have suppressed. The opposition to Mercury may cause some tension with honest expression, a tug of war between the heart and mind. Nonetheless, with awareness comes the power to change what is holding you back in a constructive way. Feel your heart, decide what restricts you, take responsibility and embrace a clever way to express it. The moon trine with Mars will assist with change, bringing drive and action into play.

This full moon will usher in the magick of the water element with potency, the psychic Pisces with the moody, fantastical Neptune, to conjure the mystic within us. Intensifying the magick, the eclipse will take us deeper into the unconscious, to know ourselves and find the gold.

New Moon in Leo 13th August at 03:36 AEST

SOLAR TOTAL ECLIPSE

Total solar eclipses usher in change in a profound way. So, welcome the new moon in Leo as a potent and important event.

Leo’s magick brings confidence, creativity and playfulness. You may notice heightened optimism and spontaneity under the new moon’s shadow. Embrace these feelings and you will move forward with innovative ideas and a deeper connection with others. Release mental clutter and allow art and romance to enrapture your soul and choices.

Leo loves relaxing so take the opportunity to be at peace, slow down and enjoy the moment. The Lion of the Zodiac is all heart. Be at one with your heart. Embrace truth and fun, and you will be an inspiration to those around you.

This Leo new moon has strong, positive aspects.
Be open to the opportunity.
The moon is in an astrological trine with Saturn in Aries, so learning from experience, and from others who have knowledge, will activate your leadership qualities and your potential to manifest your plans and visions. The conjunction with Jupiter will activate expansion and abundance, good fortune to those open to change.

Leo energy conjures childlike vulnerability as well, bringing memories of the past to the surface. The past lives in us, we can’t change it but can change the way we see it. When the past depletes us, it needs to be transformed. Leo energy calls you to try a different approach to healing and self-knowledge. Simply bless where you have traveled, the joy and the hurt as well. A blessing acknowledges the sacred, and when you see your life as sacred - you will shine.
