Happy retirement, Jo!

After nearly three years with TreeProject, we’re saying a very fond farewell to Jo as she heads into retirement.

Jo joined us to work on TreeProject’s Victorian Carbon Farming project, funded by DEECA, stepping into an entirely new field after a career in education and school leadership. She embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, building wonderful relationships with landholders and quickly becoming a highly valued member of the TreeProject team.

Jo’s warmth, professionalism, curiosity and willingness to learn and share her knowledge have made a lasting contribution to the project and to everyone who has had the pleasure of working alongside her.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything you’ve brought to TreeProject, Jo.

From all of us, thank you and happy retirement! We hope you enjoy every minute of your well earned time.

That’s a whole lot of tubes!

Our incredible volunteers have been busy washing and preparing tubes so they can be used all over again for the next round of TreeProject seedlings.

Last week: 6,384 tubes washed
This past Sunday: 12,432 tubes washed!

That’s 18,816 tubes cleaned across just two sessions and ready to go back into circulation.

It might not be the most glamorous job, but tube washing is an important part of keeping TreeProject’s growing cycle going and reducing waste along the way.

And we’re not done yet!

A big thank you to our Team Leaders!

As another planting season comes to an end, we want to give a special shout out to the incredible Team Leaders who helped make it all happen.

Throughout the season, our Team Leaders were there to lead, teach and support our volunteer planters at each planting day. Their energy, knowledge and enthusiasm helped keep spirits high and our planting days running smoothly.

A huge thank you to Les, Genevieve, Sharelle, Shenali, James, Wiebke, Isabelle, Kurt and Peter for the time, energy and passion you brought to TreeProject this season.

And of course, thank you to everyone who planted with us this year, including those who travelled to multiple planting days and turned up in all kinds of weather.

Thousands of seedlings are now in the ground because of this wonderful community. 🌱

Join us at Ross House for Seed Packing and help us get everything ready for our wonderful volunteer growers.

Our Growers Group is back at the TreeProject Indigenous Nursery in Kensington. Come along for a relaxed morning of plant care, learning and good company.

🍃Sunday 27 September
It’s Tube Washing Day! Help us clean and prepare tubes so they’re ready to be used again for the next generation of seedlings.

Every little job plays a part in getting more indigenous seedlings grown and back into Victorian landscapes.

Come for a few hours or stay for the day, we’d love to see you.

What if planting trees could support wildlife and the farm at the same time?
