🐾 Meet Tofu - Please read in full before applying!

Tofu is a very independent little man with a big personality and a mind of his own. He can be incredibly affectionate with his chosen person and, once he decides you're his human, he loves nothing more than being close to you. He especially loves sleeping under the blankets right beside his person and makes the cutest little piggy noises when he's relaxed. 🐷❤️

Tofu is a low-energy boy who enjoys wandering around the house and doing his own thing. He enjoys short walks, but only when he's in the mood! He isn't the type of dog who wants to follow you everywhere and is happiest having the freedom to come and go on his own terms.

Tofu actually prefers being inside and isn't a fan of spending time outdoors. He will happily go outside when he needs to toilet, but otherwise he'd much rather be inside with his people. He can be stubborn about going outside when he doesn't want to, so his new owner will need patience and consistency.

He gets along with other dogs but isn't playful and prefers his personal space to be respected. If another dog gets too close, he may move away or give a warning growl. He generally ignores cats and is happy to give them their space.

Tofu is a strong-willed and stubborn little character. He can become defensive if he feels pressured, including when being picked up or when something he values is taken away. He has also shown that he may use his mouth when he thinks he can get away with it. His new owner will need to be experienced, confident and consistent, with clear boundaries and a good understanding of dog behaviour.

Tofu can experience separation anxiety when left outside and may bark or scratch at windows. When he is settled and comfortable, however, he is equally happy to curl up and go to sleep.

Tofu is also crate trained and loves his crate. He will happily put himself to bed in it overnight, making it a safe and comfortable space for him.

Tofu needs an adult-only home with someone who is home for most of the day or can take him along with them. He would suit someone who appreciates an independent dog, is confident managing a strong personality and is prepared to provide structure, consistency and clear boundaries.

🔥 Meet Flame...

Flame is an absolutely stunning young Flame Point Ragdoll cross with the most beautiful colouring, striking blue eyes and a face that is simply impossible not to fall in love with. 🤍

This gorgeous boy is playful, affectionate and full of personality. He absolutely loves his pats and, once he decides you're okay, his enormous purr will tell you just how much he is enjoying them. 🥰

Flame can be a tiny bit cautious when you first reach out to him and might dodge your hand on the first attempt, but once you've won him over, he settles in beautifully and happily soaks up the attention. He has been gaining confidence and has recently started coming closer to his humans and staying around for longer. ❤️

He is also a very playful boy with an adorable habit of carrying his toys around. He loves having his favourite toys with him and is often found proudly wandering around with them in his mouth. 🧸

Flame absolutely loves other cats and could happily live with a feline friend. 🐱 He could also be perfectly happy as the only cat in the home, so long as he has plenty of love, attention and opportunities for play.

When Flame first came into care, he was very underweight, so he understandably became quite protective of his food. If another cat tries to take his dinner, he can get a little growly! 😂 For this reason, in a home with other cats, Flame will need to be fed separately so he can enjoy his meals peacefully without feeling like he needs to defend them.

He is otherwise such a sweet and affectionate young boy who is continuing to gain confidence and discover just how lovely life can be.

Flame has so much personality packed into one incredibly handsome little package. He is playful, affectionate, wonderfully quirky and has the most gorgeous purr once he decides you're his person.

He is ready to find a forever home where he can feel safe, loved and completely spoiled. Whether he has feline friends or gets to have all the attention to himself, we know Flame will make a very special companion. 🤍🔥

Fredrick is a stunningly handsome black cat with the sweetest personality and a heart full of love. He is an incredibly affectionate, smoochy boy who absolutely adores his humans and loves nothing more than being close to the people he loves. ❤️
This gorgeous boy has such a beautiful nature. He is gentle, relaxed and incredibly easy-going, with a laid-back personality that makes him an absolute pleasure to have around. Nothing seems to phase Fredrick. He takes everything in his stride and is happiest simply spending time with his humans and enjoying some affection. 🥰

Fredrick is the kind of cat who would make a wonderful companion and could even have all the qualities of a fantastic therapy cat. His calm, loving nature and gentle personality make him incredibly special, and he has a wonderful way of making everyone around him feel at ease.

He is also great with other cats and would happily share his home with feline friends. 🐱
But it is his love for people that really makes Fredrick shine. He is a true smoochy boy who wants to be part of the family and would love a home where he can receive plenty of affection, attention and, of course, lots of cuddles.
Fredrick is incredibly handsome on the outside, but it is his beautiful personality that makes him truly special. He is sweet, affectionate, calm and wonderfully laid-back, with so much love to give. 🩶

WE WANT TO GIVE THIS OLD BOY A CHANCE 💔

We don’t know much about his history.
What we do know is that this beautiful 10-year-old boy has been doing it incredibly tough on the streets, and he has clearly been neglected for a very long time.

He arrived as a handed-in stray to a vet clinic in a heartbreaking state. His coat is completely and severely matted. He has been unable to properly groom himself, and his teeth are in such poor condition that he can barely eat anymore. 😿

But underneath all of that is a 10-year-old cat who deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, warm, pain-free and loved.

🩺 He needs a significant dental, with almost a full-mouth extraction expected.
The dental alone is estimated at at least $1,500. He is currently on pain relief, but he is so emaciated that he will also need a blood test before surgery to make sure he is stable enough to undergo an anaesthetic.

A feeding tube will be placed while he is under anaesthetic during his surgery, as he is currently struggling to eat and will need nutritional support while he recovers.

We estimate the cost of getting him through this initial treatment will be at least $2,300 at the minimum.

We want to save him. We really do.

But our donations are lower than they have ever been, and sadly, this time we simply can't do this by ourselves.

If everyone who sees this could donate just a small amount, we could make this happen. ❤️
We know we're asking for help when everyone is stretched, but we don't want money to be the reason this boy doesn't get his chance.

He is currently safe at the vet, but we need to secure rescue backing by Monday. If we can't, he will go to the pound, and a 10-year-old cat in this condition may not be given the chance he so desperately needs.

Regional pounds, particularly those in areas close to the Victorian border, can face enormous challenges. CK Rescue has always tried to help the animals who need it most, and pets like Buck and Gogo are exactly why these rescue journeys matter. Without rescue intervention, their lives could have been lost simply because they ended up in an overcrowded regional pound with nowhere else for them to go.

The cost of getting animals like Buck and Gogo to safety is huge, even before they receive the veterinary care they need. Meet Jay-Z & Beyoncé 🩵

These two gorgeous kitten siblings are looking for a short-term foster home where someone can help them come out of their shells and learn that people are actually pretty great.

They’re both a little scared and unsure at the moment, so we’re looking for someone who is patient, home a lot and confident with shy kittens. They need someone who can gently encourage them, spend time with them and give them the little push they need to become confident, social kittens.

🐱 They can move to another carer once they’re ready

This isn’t a long-term commitment. We just need the right person to help Jay-Z and Beyoncé take those first steps. Once they’re confident and socialising well, they can move on to their next foster home and continue their journey towards adoption.

CK Rescue will provide their food, veterinary care and ongoing support. You provide the safe space, patience and a little bit of encouragement.

Meet Jericho 💙

Jericho is a big, beautiful sweetheart with a soft heart and a serious love of cuddles. He’s smart, affectionate and absolutely convinced that despite his size, he is in fact a lap dog.
After spending the past month in foster care, Jericho has come a long way and his carers have seen some lovely improvements in his manners and ability to settle.

Inside the home, Jericho loves being close to his people. He’ll happily curl up beside you on the couch, sleep on your bed at night or find a sunny spot outside for a little sunbake. Give him the opportunity and he’ll happily pounce onto your lap for cuddles, before falling asleep in whatever ridiculous position he happens to land in.
He can be a bit of a bull in a china shop when excited, but he responds well to direction and settles fairly quickly. He’s playful, enjoys a bit of rough-and-tumble play and can be quite the shadow when there’s food or something interesting happening. He is about a 30kg man so big dog experience is preferred.

Jericho is house trained and his indoor manners have improved considerably in foster care. He’s still working on resisting the temptation of unattended food, so his new family will need to continue reinforcing those boundaries.
He knows sit well, particularly when treats are involved, and is learning to wait and okay around meal times. His stay is improving but still needs some work.

Walks are a work in progress. Jericho absolutely loves getting out and about, but he can be excited at the beginning and currently pulls on lead. With continued training and exercise, he has the potential to make a fantastic walking or even running companion.

Jericho is fine greeting dogs on walks but he was jealous of his foster carer in his previous foster home so he is best suited as an only dog where he can soak up all the attention for himself. He would love a home with a secure, decent-sized backyard where he can stretch his legs and investigate the neighbourhood possums. He doesn't dig or regularly try to escape, although he will happily launch himself at the fence if a possum appears.
He is generally a quiet boy, with some barking at visitors and the occasional nighttime possum. He is responding well to a "no barking" command.

Jericho needs is someone who understands bully breeds, is patient and committed to continuing his training. Someone who is home more often would be ideal while he continues to build confidence, but his foster carer believes he has plenty of potential to adapt with time and consistency.

And then there's that face. 🥹
Those ears. That gorgeous underbite. The excitement when you walk through the door.
For such a big dog, Jericho can somehow curl himself into the tiniest little ball, before happily settling in beside you.

Jericho is a total sweetheart looking for someone who will give him the love, guidance and stability he deserves. Could you be his forever person? 💙

Baby has been adopted! 🎉

After waiting since December 2025, our beautiful Baby has finally found her forever home.

Her kittens were adopted long ago, but Baby was still waiting patiently for someone to choose her. She had spent so long in care, watching other cats come and go, and we really wanted her turn to come.

Thankfully, it finally has and our longest waiting foster girl has finally found a home 🏡 🙌

Baby has now found someone who saw how special she is and decided she was the girl for them.

A huge thank you to Baby’s foster family for taking such wonderful care of her while she waited, and to everyone who shared her posts and helped get her story seen. 🩵
