Melbourne Museum 🦕 Incursion

Learning extensions of children interest of dinosaurs 🦕 and their voices was visible today at our incredible incursion. Children enjoy learning about different dinosaur types, especially their unique horns, teeth, and spikes. All kindergarten children enjoy the learning and open ended materials of bones fossils as they went on a journey of history.

Exploring, Learning and Growing in Confidence

Our babies are showing increasing confidence as they explore new adventures in learning. Through play, they are developing their curiosity and problem-solving skills by experimenting, trying new things, and learning through trial and error.

It is wonderful to see the babies exploring their environment so enthusiastically, building confidence and discovering new possibilities through hands-on experiences.

We are also very fortunate to have our Lead Educator, Emily, as part of our Milestones Point Cook community. Emily has been with the service for more than 18 years, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and genuine care to our youngest learners. Her dedication and commitment to the children and families is truly valued.

As part of Child Protection Week,

Our Kinder rooms focused on early warning signs. We talked about different signs our body may show when we feel worried, uncomfortable, or unsafe.

This experience supported Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing as children learned to recognise their feelings and body signals. It also supported Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators as children shared their ideas and talked about how their bodies may feel.

Child Protection Week learning if children notice an early warning sign and asking for help from safe adult is essential .
