Our Adventure Motorcycle Tours are some of the most spectacular journeys on this planet – join us

Compass Expeditions was formed off the back of an incredible fund-raising ride from London to Magadan, in Siberia back in 2005. We started with one Toyota Landcruiser as a support vehicle, five bikes and a lot of enthusiasm. Our expeditions are the experience of a lifetime, crossing continents to explore some of the most unique and beautiful places on earth.

The response since announcing the Treasures of Türkiye tour in our newsletter has been extraordinary – the 2027 departure sold out in record time, with the available places going to those who registered their interest early. The 2028 departure is now quickly filling up - if you're interested in claiming one of those places, send us a message to register your interest.

Türkiye is one of the world's great motorcycle destinations, combining spectacular riding roads, rich history and an extraordinary cultural heritage that spans thousands of years. Beginning and ending in Istanbul, this carefully crafted journey showcases the country's remarkable diversity, from ancient ruins and coastal villages to soaring mountain ranges and otherworldly landscapes.

Along the way, we'll visit some of the most significant historical sites in the ancient world. Riders will pay their respects at Gallipoli, explore the legendary city of Troy, stand among the ruins of Pergamon and wander through the remarkably preserved streets of Ephesus, one of the greatest cities of the Roman Empire.

The journey then follows Türkiye's stunning Aegean and Mediterranean coastlines to Bodrum before heading inland across the vast Anatolian Steppe. We'll visit Konya, home of the Whirling Dervishes, before continuing to the breathtaking landscapes of Cappadocia, where towering rock formations, hidden valleys and underground cities create one of the most memorable riding destinations anywhere on earth.

Covering approximately 3,000 kilometres over 15 days with riders able to choose from a BMW F 800 GS, BMW F 900 GS or BMW R 1300 GS, this unforgettable journey through Türkiye is unlike any other destination on earth.

With less than half the places remaining for 2028, now is your opportunity to secure your place on this amazing adventure. Visit the Treasures of Türkiye tour page below to learn more - we look forward to welcoming you to Türkiye.

When you tour some of the most remote spots on the planet, you need to make sure you're well provisioned.

Every motorcycle tour is supported by our superb support vehicles, all of which come equipped with a mobile kitchen for those great picnic lunches that we have become known for.

Our support vehicles have a capacity for 4 non riding clients.

All our tour leaders are first aid trained and we have an extensive medical kit, personally put together for Compass Expeditions by a remote area paramedic, in all our support vehicles.

We also carry satellite phones on every tour and a Delorme InReach communication device on our major expeditions.

Today the adventure begins as you meet your crew for the tour briefing and welcome dinner - leaving the bright lights of the city behind, we will head south with the Pacific Ocean on our right and towering sand dunes on our left.

This region offers some of the best coastal desert scenery in the world. We will have a boat trip to the Ballestas Islands where we can see rock formations, Humboldt penguins, sea lions and a wide variety of birdlife before we overnight in the seaside town of Paracas...

We started our second last day with a visit the one of the seven natural wonders of the world: the incomparable Victoria Falls. Walking along the edge of the falls with numerous scenic points gave us incredible views of Mosi-oa-Tunya, AKA "the smoke that thunders."

After yesterday's final day in Victoria Falls with a plethora of available activities (a helicopter flight over the falls, white water rafting, river cruises, bungee jumping, zip lining or crossing into Zambia for the day and enjoy a different perspective of the falls), some us us will spend some more time exploring the area, while the others will fly home.

Cape Town to Victoria Falls 2026 was amazing - 2027 dates now available for booking!

What happens when your regular travel or touring mate(s) can't make it?

Don’t worry If you're ready to explore but none of your friends are – more than 60% or our clients are single travellers.

You'll avoid paying single supplements (unless you want your own private room), as all our tour costs are priced on a twin share basis, so you won’t be financially penalised for choosing to travel solo.

"My husband and I have done several motorcycles tours with Compass, all of which have been well organised and a lot of fun. We have just returned from the Vietnam Jeep Tour. Once again a great adventure, taking you off the beaten track." – Margreth Van Aartsen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Vietnam is an incredible country with some of Asia’s finest panoramas that includes limestone karst islands, verdant green rice fields bordered by mountain peaks, ancient traditional villages, national parks, and wonderful well-preserved French influenced old towns in Hanoi & Hoi An.

We drive our iconic Willys Jeeps through a landscape of historic towns, world heritage sites and along stunning coastlines stopping at significant sites synonymous with the Vietnam War. This is a very unique way to experience this magnificent destination and allows us to really understand this breathtaking country and its peoples.

With reviews like this, it's no wonder that Canyons, Dunes and Falls has sold out (again) this year. Here's what Jah M had to say:

"In 2024 we really enjoyed a motorcycle tour of New Zealand with Compass so we decided to do another tour with them. We just completed their Canyons, Dunes, and Falls 4WD tour in Southern Africa. This tour did not disappoint! As we experienced in 2024, it was also fast paced, well organized, customer focused, adventure packed, and so much fun. We also very much enjoyed our guides and the people sharing this experience with us. We are thinking about the Compass Peru 4WD tour in 2026."
