What if some of the most important work in evangelism happens where nobody can see it? 🙏
Charles Finney was the visible evangelist, but behind his ministry was Daniel Nash, a man deeply committed to prayer and intercession.
It’s a powerful reminder that evangelism has both a visible and an unseen dimension.
Prayer doesn’t mean we avoid the conversation and wait for God to do everything. And sharing Jesus doesn’t mean we rely solely on our own words or courage.
We don’t pray instead of sharing Jesus. We pray as we share Jesus.
So, who is praying for your evangelism? Who is praying for open doors, the right words, courage and hearts that are ready to hear?

Could AI actually help you become better at evangelism?
I think it can.
Not because AI can replace the Holy Spirit, relationships or real conversations, it can't.
But it can help us become more prepared.
You can use AI to:
âś… Prepare for difficult conversations
âś… Explore the questions people are asking
âś… Learn to listen more thoughtfully
âś… Think through how to respond to objections
âś… Practise talking about your faith
The goal isn't to become better at arguing for Christianity.
The goal is to become better at loving people, asking good questions, listening well and being ready to talk about Jesus when the opportunity comes.

AI can write.
It can generate ideas.
It can hold conversations that feel remarkably human.
But Natchi Lazarus points to one fundamental distinction.
AI doesn't have the breath of life.
Genesis describes God forming humanity and then doing something extraordinary:
“The Lord God... breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7
AI may become increasingly sophisticated, but from a biblical perspective, being human is about far more than intelligence or our ability to produce words.
We are God's creation, made in His image and given life by Him.

This isn't another passing technology trend.
AI is changing the way we live, work, search, communicate and solve problems.
And that's what makes this moment different.

Have you ever suddenly thought of someone and felt that you should text them, ask a deeper question or offer to pray?
It may not be random.
The Holy Spirit is already at work in the lives of people around us. And sometimes He invites us to become part of what He is doing through a simple prompt.
His leading isn’t always dramatic.
It may be a name that keeps coming to mind.
A question you feel you should ask.
A moment when you sense that you need to stop, listen or say something encouraging.
The challenge is learning to recognise those prompts. And having the courage to respond.
You don’t need to know exactly what will happen.
You don’t need to have the whole conversation planned.
You simply need to take the next faithful step.
Notice the nudge.
Take the risk.
Start the conversation.
God may already be preparing the person on the other side of your obedience.
What prompt from the Holy Spirit do you need to respond to this week?
She hadn't grown up with faith.
She'd never been to church.
But one day, sitting in her backyard, she photographed a dragonfly.
When she zoomed in on the image and saw its incredible detail, a thought entered her mind:
Surely there's a designer. Surely there's a Creator.
So she Googled “church near me”.
And on Christmas Day, she walked into church for the very first time.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalm 19:1

Tina Waldrom believes that when people regularly hear how God is working beyond the walls of the church, they become more conscious of the opportunities around them too.

Evangelism shouldn't feel like the occasional church initiative.
It should become part of the culture.

Here’s your challenge for this weekend…
Next time you’re at the supermarket, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to one person to talk to.
That’s it.
You don’t have to share the gospel. You don’t have to have the perfect words.
Just listen and respond.
Maybe you’ll feel prompted to say, “Can I help you with something?”
Maybe you’ll notice someone who’s struggling and ask if you can pray for them.
Or maybe you’ll just have a conversation that opens the door to something more.
